it depends on what players you have and what defenders they have. everyone has preferred formations, but then it depends against who you're playing. for example you cannot play with crosses when there are rijkaard and stam in defense. you have to see the weaknesses of their team, and then build an attack the best way you can with your team. stam and rijkaard are slow so counter-attacks and fast attackers would be a good way of scoring against them. if you have nesta and cannavaro it's better if you put two Koller-like players in your attack because they would receive all the crosses without difficulty. it's until you get hold of the game and start preferring one way of playing to another

I have never really had the trouble of switching stars much thankfully.
My goals are actually pretty good but i do score quite a few goals that are very similar.

but the thing is, if he started playing for example in three star, he could swith on four star for 10 matches, then switch back to three star and he'll see that his skills would improve a bit. that's what i did the first time i ever played pes.
