You´re not right Zygalski, they will play UEFA Cup maybe, and if not then they will play in the Intertoto Cup for sure to qualify for the UEFA.
PS: You´re not quite wrong, this topic should be in the Football section

Considering they great record in the champion's league this year, it is a shame for them not to be there next time but it is their own fault. Maybe they thought they would qualify by winning it.

UEFA cup is a little beneath their standard.

Anything can happen in the Intertoto so don't assume anything!

why would Beckham want to move to a struggling club both on and off the field that will not be playing in the champions league next year? Surely AC or Real have a better chance of signing him.

Sorry, cheap joke! I thought he was as good as signed and apparently a fine keeper. Only being kept out cos Friedel and Keller are performing so well.

A: Alex Ferguson

Real yes... AC no due to conflict with sponsors. Becks is prevalent in the Vodafone campaigns and AC are sponsored by one of their competitors, TIM.

Nice joke about the Turette's (sp?) Reb.

Madrid are with T-Online.
But the Adidas link makes it sweeter for them.

Have they really? Yeah, they would for a cool link down the flank... but I see what you mean really.

I think certain players in the game need higher teamwork stats between them.
Eg, Beckham and gary neville should have teamwork in high 90s.
Make good partnerships this way.

Quite agree Zyg. I've just been reading the news and I have a sly feeling that Real may try and sign Becks. Just their style to sit back until Barca are almost there and then buy him from under their noses. Think they may try that with Ronaldinho and Man U. Which would double screw them if they swooped for both! But I guess it woudl teach Man U a lesson trying to pawn off on of their most loyal players?

Beckham hasn't been overly loyal. He's had it easy. Now, for the first time in his career, he's been dropped from the team, and he's shown his true colours as a moany little cunt.

As for Ronaldinho, he's said he wants to go to Man Utd - and players always end up moving where they want to go. I think United could match Real Madrid price-wise as well, so there's no incentive for him to go to Madrid. Having said that, I thought that Man U might have wrapped up the deal by now...

I think, and I'm not sure, that you are not a fan of Becks, nifty. And the c word is a little too rouge for my dainty sensibilities.

Well, no - I'm not a fan. Whilst he's a good player, he's too one-dimensional for the label of "World Class," if you ask me.

For someone considered in the same league as the Rivaldo's of this world, for a right-sided midfielder, he hasn't got the pace, or the dribbling skills. He won't beat his man, but rather cross the ball from 40 yards out. Fair enough, he puts the cross where he wants it, but sometimes - in fact, many times - the cross would've been better from a more advanced position. That's why I prefer Giggs as a player.

And his attitude is terrible. For someone being paid a rumoured £120,000 a week, he's extremely easy to wind up, whilst he's doing what he loves doing - and that's playing football. The moment something doesn't go his way - both on and off the pitch - the mental attitude he adopts is that of a 10 year old throwing a tantrum. 1998 vs. Argentina, e.g. 1. Countless other times when he's been tackled and reacted with a "tackle" of his own. That's another thing he can't do - tackle.

Also, he puts his sponsorships ahead of his club. He knows how much he's worth. His hairstyle changes make him even more money - I don't know how - but they do. He's the worst captain I've ever seen, to be honest.

Don't get me wrong, he's a very good player - but overrated by about a street and a half.

I do understand what you've said and agree with some of it. But look at the 1st half of the Eng game the other night. They really missed Beckham. You cannot underestimate his impact for England. And if he is one-dimensional the what does that say about the rest of the team? Ok, he does not rank against Zidane, Rivaldo, Ronaldo and some others... but he has to some degree been made that way. He has played in the centre a few times (which I saw) and he was exceptional. But Utd want him on the right and so do England. There is no better crosser of the ball. There is no better dead ball specialist.

I don't think he loses his rag as much as you think. Players like Zidane and co don't actually get as much stick as Beckham and it's a catch 22 situation. They know it winds him up so they do it more and the more they do it the more wound up he gets each time. Dunno. I still think he is real quality but he has never been given the chance to develop. Teams find his crossing and free kicks too precious to lose.

I don't think Beckham crosses enough or as much as he used to.
There aren't many crosses from the right side for someone to score.
Can't remember the last one for England.
Last one I can recall was V Bolton away.

And when he does cross it's usually from not far forward enough.
