If this is ruining the game for anyone, then I would be surprised. I wouldn't call it stupid game design either. Do you know what Agility affects> it helps with things like volleys, and turning with the ball. It's not a game breaker if your agility is 89. Mine's 86, and fine with me. BTW - I have heard, for one, that a winger will tend to be given higher agility.
Agility has traditionally be assumed by Konami to be linked with your character's physique, and that it isn't going to change significantly even with training because you don't really change you physique. In real life that's obvioulsy not exactly the way things work, but if you try to look at it from Konami's perseptive, they are trying to say "you are this sort of player." In real life you don't see a guy like Crouch become like Messi. Generally a player's agility is pretty constant, not going from 70 when he's young to 99 when he's older. Of course there are exceptions, but it's not a huge problem imho.
