^Personally, if they fix the rating system and make AI much better, BAL will be already 10 steps better. :)

true true true!!!!!!
i saw on you tube few videos with fifa 09 be a pro or something like that and i think pro bal is better but... im not sure, but i think fifa be a pro has all leages and you can choose many many teams to go and i saw that you can control every player in the team.. maybe they can put the option to control all players.

^Fifa's be a pro is good but nothing special. You can't control all players. But you can tell them how you want the ball; ex cross, pass, long pass. And your teamates are good unlike in pro's BAL.
But the downfall is the 4 seasons only. It's stupid to build a professional footballer in only 4 seasons. :(

Wishlist for BAL Mode. I am much more likely to play a game with better gameplay, however the details of a game are what brings it together, so they are also important.

1. Contract Negotiations - Please do not make me re-sign with my club every year. Allow multi-year deals, hold-outs, extensions, etc. Also, I would like to see this area given much more depth. You should be able to see who the manager is (philosophy); not receive crap ridiculous bids from lower table teams in no-name leagues. Would Blackburn really make a bid for a four-time world player of the year who is only 30?

2. Agents - You should be presented with the option of hiring various agents (with varying strengths and negotiating skillsets). Also, you should be able to give the agent various demands when negotiating to only get contract offers that you will actually accept (or force you to lower your demands); such as wage demands; jersey number; absolutely will-not play for (ex: I would tell my agent to not even pick up the phone if Liverpool were calling); only teams in CL; etc.

3. Media Interaction - Interviews; Charity events; etc. This should have an effect on your play; teammate interaction; coaching decisions; etc. Perhaps an "off-the-field" persona you can build (and grow through media interactions, on-the-field antics such as diving and celebrations) which script into various events throughout a career. Ex: Having a run-in with the law mid-career and dealing with it in the media, in the changing room and on the field. What would be off the charts is a media interaction where they interview your player in the native language - creating a situation where you will get misquoted based on a lack of knowledge of Italian, for example. Then getting an angry message from your agent who now has to do damage control.

4. Sponsorship deals - As discussed previously, this would be a great addition. Perhaps a bit of interaction between practicing, sponsorship commitments and media interaction would be great. For example you can only practice once this week because you were contractually obligated to participate in a advertisement shoot and attend a charity dinner.

5. Practice sessions that are not just reserve games (already discussed in this thread).

6. Testimonial matches (where you can pick the players; including classic players even if they have retired).

7. More realistic physical growth. My 33 year-old player should not look the same as when he was 17. (More wrinkles and age spots, etc.)

8. Injuries - include extended (broken bones); season-ending and career ending injuries at random. Not just the 2 week injury that keeps re-occurring. Also, a description of what type of injury (not just "injured") would be cool.

9. The option to go into management / coaching when I retire. (Shifts the BAL mode to Master League while keeping all the ratings, rosters, etc.)

While again, gameplay is the most important feature, all of these things would add to an experience of actually being a professional footballer. Dealing with all the antics and commitments while still trying to win and get better.

Irregardless, I am looking forward to 2010.

i have 2 ideas :
firstly : to play with the best player names ever like maradona and ronaldo and zidane ( as example ) to hear the announcer say these names when i play like .. maradona ohh what a good goal ... etc .

secondly :sometimes i don`t like to play the match but if i skip it so i might lose the match , is there a new feature can replay the match or let me go back and play it again ? because after losing the match so i can`t play it again .

take care everybody

^Ofcourse. They don't need a scripted graph. You will be the one to write the graph with how you play.

An option to play a dream match against the legends of football because after all, you shouldve become a legend. Imagine lining up against the likes of Beckenbauer and Maradona...

Training!?!?! You guys are insane, how fucking boring will it be to spend half a season running around obstacles a shooting at a lone keeper in a empty stadium. Think about it for two seconds, it's going to be a boring game.

Matches against reserve are fine. As for stats, yeah maybe it would be cool If you became better at what you do most, like if you run a lot you get more stamina and such.

Showing some age would be cool too. Like lighter hair, some wrinkles.

It would be nice if you could hint to the press stuff. Like telling them you'd love to play for some team, or that you feel your team needs to invest in better defenders or something. And that those interviews had consequences, either they listen to you or you get punished by the coach or something. The more famous you are the more they listen to you.

The rating system is a joke. I get 4 goals, 1 assist 14(14) passes and yet I get a 7.5... what gives!?

The coach is a dumbass. Taking you out of extra time in the UCL final... the world footballer of the year who has just scored a hattrick! really, coach?

Look In essence, the gameplay and your dumb teammates should learn to move and pass the ball in more interesting ways. Extra detail is always welcome as long as it doesn't bog down gameplay (training sessions = bore).

What I wouldn't like is BAL becoming some sort of PES SIMS game.

To be honest I would like this mode to be thrown out completely, and never brought back, I really cant stand this mode. I do see why it can be appealing to some but I just cant control one player without absolutely losing the rag with team mates and to be honest it is not that in depth. On previous PES versions we can simply fix the cursor to control one player, still play in all sorts of Cups/Tournaments that way, so I dont see the logic in having a half baked mode just for this feature. I think if they are to make it worthwhile for those who enjoy it, it should be so in depth and detailed that it should warrant a completely seperate game, after all, to be completely focused on one player during a career, you want to be able to do things which are unique to this player, and that includes things way outside the scope of what will ever be possible to do in the confines of a seperate mode in the main PES game. I personally wouldn't buy this seperate game if it were the case, but I reckon plenty would.

There are great ideas already here but i d like to add one more.

It's about getting called up for your nation during qualifying round for a European/World Cup or whatever your nation have to qualify for.

Because in season 2013/2014 i was hoping to get called up for the World Cup, but it didn't happen!? Probably cause we (Holland) didn't qualify for it. (And yes i have great stats and played European Cup 2 years before that so that can't be the problem)

So this way you are able to play your part in bringing your nation to a tournament. Makes it more realistic too id say...

i agree... but i have to say something more.. i'm from greece so i play for greek national team.. how normal is that we took the world cup???? i mean it was very easy and most of greek famous players has already retire...and i was playing with greek newcomers or players with small abilities.... so this "national thing" has to change..unless everybody likes to see his national team to the top of the world:blush:......personally i dont like this cause it s not close to real life.

steve, if you don't like it, don't play it but BAL is so popular and so great. It's your opinion that you don't like it but it doesn't mean it's bad. The gameplay needs fixing and BAL will be really outstanding. Ofcourse more option are needed.

Yeah I dont play it, all Im saying is that there is not much of a leap from fixing the cursor, and playing BAL, Ive heard a lot of people say that they would like all sorts of features added to it, such as the ability to make the player truly unique, as well as control certain off field antics as well as development and transfers, I just think that to use it as simply a mode of PES limits its scope perhaps, and like you say, it is popular, maybee warranting much more detail, as per a seperate game.

^But BAL gives you full control over 1 player unlike when fixing a cursor,. You can move to different teams, earn more money, etc... Anyway I think that if they fix the gameplay and rating system, BAL would be outstanding.:)
