Hi everyone,

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere.

I'm on my third season in BAL and am playing for Sunderland (Wearside).

In the three seasons Sunderland have not purchased a single player. This is despite the high frequency of transfers (''GERRARD transfers to Man Utd''...)

has anyone experienced anything similar? Is this a common occurence in BAL?

Would be a shame as I really enjoy it apart from this.

Not a bug. If your team has a large enough squad with each position covered then they wont buy in players. Also there is a maximum number of players per squad and yours may be full. Plus your league position means you either earn or loose points for the season so the "manager" may have nothing to transfer with since he has bought YOU.

Your team would have to place inside the top 6 for the season before your team will start aquiring better players for a european campaign.

Not sure of the size of the squad without looking.

I know the team has purchased me but my salary is very low each season. Other teams seem to be buying several players, even teams ranked lower than mine. Seemed odd.

We have finished 12th in the first season and 10th in the second. However we won the 'D1 Cup' in the second season. Do the cup winners play a European campaign?

Yes cup winners get in to the euro masters cup competition (basically the UEFA cup). Dont expect any new players until after the first campaign however, your mid league team will need the points earned from it before they get players in methinks.

Your best bet is saving the game numerous times during the transfer market and re-loading if you don't like what you see. If Gerrard moved to United I would definitely re-load!

I definitely didn't like what I was seeing! But i have cheat prevention on so I couldn't go back in time as it were. My game now also has Robinho at Bolton, Ronaldo at Fiorentina, Robbie Keane at Everton and Torres nowhere to be seen (I can't keep track with all the moves)...
