I'm now in the second half of my first season with Hull and doing great!

Scored my first goal with amazing header against Pool on cup to tie the game. And got my first 8.5 rating as I tried an amazing killer ball(through 4 defender) against Chelsea and IT FOUN DEAN WINDASS AND 1-0. And as u might guess, Mendy took down Anelka and they tied on stoppage time.

I'm definately loving this!!!

WNDASS!

I am definately signing for Hull as soon as they try and sign me... me and Windass in the same team... magic...

Hello. Here's my story. I'm form Holland, so my English is not that good.

I started with the usual training game. Playing on top player, with my 17 years.. not that good. I got a 6.0, didn't expact that and went to Wigan. Nice team, but hard to get on the bench. Think I made 10 training games before I could make my debut.

Then did good at them. Got man of the match three times, player 11 games and went to Bolton. Awful mistake. They never used me, I never even made it to the bank and after 11 training matches in the B-team I skipped the rest. Then no English teams wanted me, but OGC Nice came, so I went.

In Nice I found my skills back. As a shadow striker I player many matches. I scored, became Man of the Match and PSG (at the time number one in France) wanted me. I went and never played. I háte that club. I trained well (6.5 of 7.0), scored sometimes, got my assists, but never even made it to the subs. I skipped many matches after finding out they will never give me a chance and nog I'm at Betis (21 years old).

My stats increased a little, not that much and I'm starting to hate training matches. I want to play real matches, like I did with Wigan and Nice. Any chance I can become a starter in Betis? I hope you guys can help me with tips or someting. I got 4 negotiations in my awfull time at PSG but never got an offer from a English club. Help me..

First off..your moving clubs way too much!...every time you move to a new club you will have to do well in training to get your chance to get into the first team.

Secondly..its no wonder your stats aint going up quickly enough, you skipped most of the training matches!....thats how you build up your stats quicker, it will take a lifetime if you keep skipping matches, plus you will never get in the first team by doing this.

If you want a transfer to an english club then stay in that league cause you will have a better chance.

focus your training bars on specific parts of your player that need improving most..if he has 70+ speed or acceleration then that is ok for a young player so focus on technique or whatever attribute you are seriously lacking in.

best tip though is to find a club with a footballing style and formation you like and stick with them for a while, get to be a first team regular and you might then get called up to the national squad (I have, and my team ..Russia, have qualified for the euro championships so I will be playing in them too which will give me more match experience, helping my player to develop quicker)

hope that gave you some sort of help..good luck!

Just started playing this mode a few days ago. I'm totally loving it, but then, I think Konami just went a bit too far in the EXP gaining system.
I can't just understand that I've played 2 seasons in a row, right from the beggining, and evolution is barely noticeable (kinda makes you want to scream. How come a player who plays almost 2 years in arsenal can't even shoot right). Too unreal, I think. Personally, I'd prefer an experience system, where your player would begin with a certain stat, for example 50, and it would be somewhat easy/fast to level up to 60, but then harder/ longer to 70, and even longer to 80, and so on. I believe that's the way it is in real life.
Nevertheless, great mode.

A way of playing a training match midweek would help in that regard.

Well, Spartak are doomed to 18th at best I think. I've stopped playing for ratings and over-exerting myself to try and make something happen for them as they're lacking a playmaker and quality strikers. I'm sure I'm going to stay in this window just to try it and then move on for definite in the January window. As bad as they are, I like starting and feel loyal to them. A game shouldn't have that affect, but I don't care!

Unfortunately he retired at the end of the first season :(

So I decided to move to Wigan, just scored my first goal for them and once again against pool :)

I just saw on the ebgames website that they now have the ps3 release date in the US set to next week. If that holds I may stop my BAL on the PC and start again on the ps3.

My team (Man City) just beat Blackburn 2-0, there was 3 red cards, 2 for us one for them. And also a booking for diving. Exciting game, mainly though cause I got my second Man City goal :D

Stayed with Spartak as I scored a peach from outside the area in the last game of the season (was the only goal, too). Scored in the 3rd game of the new season and we won the first 3 games, then lost the next 2. I had offers from Catania and Nantes which were quite tempting, but I'm determined to prove myself at Spartak if it kills me!

there seems to be a major problem as to the defense of whatever club ur in... It seems the AI must deem it necessary to turn ur defenders into idiots often when ur in the same club as them. I joined Fiorentina who had won the league the previous season. And right now we cant seem to hang on to leads for nuts, cuz the defenders would love to leave huge gaps for the opponents to run through or not bother marking set pieces. Needless to say we're languishing in the mid table with an atrocious run... 3 wins, 7 draws 3 defeats.... i've given up counting the amount of assists or goals that i've contributed which would have won the match for us only for my defenders to decide to go on holiday and let the opponents back into the match...:fplm:

The 1 upside would be that i broke into the England 1st team and i do have a pretty impressive record for them :p 7 appearances 5 goals and 4 assists. Not bad since i'm playing mainly as a SMF xD

the online legend thing is fun but pointless, they're all friendly games. even a world cup or something would be good

I reckon as you get better, there's less mistakes. I've scored 2 in 8 games already (last season I only scored 3 in 40 games) and made my first two assists in my career and we're second so far this season. Looks like I'll stay longer if it continues. Not that I'm fickle or anything!

Yeah i've noticed a massive improvement in my own form from season 1 to season 2.

I got 5 goals in 42 games in the first season (League and Cup and Europe), and have managed 12 goals in 32 games this time round. Went on a run of 3 goals in 3 games and was convinced that I was gonna be a goal a game striker!

Still want a chance to take some free kicks, but not getting a look in at the moment.

Free kicks depend on what club your at...

If your at a top club, no chance... I've complete a full season as a first team starter with Arsenal then Liverpool... Arsenal 3rd season, Liverpool 4th season. The only free kicks I took we're on the half way line. :(

Thank you for reading.
Who here has got the furthest in terms of seasons on BAL? I guess I'm not as addicted as some as I'm still in my first season, not even in the January transfer window yet and about to make my first start for Wigan. Some of you appear to be 4 or 5 seasons in though.

I'm in my 5th season, that's mainly because I play top player 5min matches? Once my player improves allot more, then maybe I will consider playing 10min matches, but now 5min matches are great... Its a rush against time to do your best!

apparently if u become a 1st team regular, u really become 1. More like a 1st team permanent... its kinda weird that the AI will drop or rotate other players but not u.... I've had my player start matches with only half a stamina bar on a few occasions already. In fact, i've had to resort to skipping matches myself juz in order to give my player a rest... no point starting matches when by half time ur more or less dead already.

Yeah I play 10 minutes. I see 5 minutes as far too short especially in a mode where you aren't controlling most of the players.

I'm just past the January transfer window, had a record of 2 goals & 2 assists in 9 games for Man City from AM, we were 9th in the league & in the D1 Cup quarters I think. Then Everton came in for me, they doubled my wages & offered my AMF/SMF for positions. They also offered me the #10 shirt :D. We're 2nd in the league, just beat Chelsea, we're in the knock-out stage of the UEFA Cup equivalent, but I we're out of the D1 cup. In my first training match for them scored a goal & got an assist so hopefully won't be too long before I get on the bench

EDIT: I also play 10 min matches on Proffesional difficulty, just thought I'd let you know

You do realise you can select what shirt number you want?

@L3g0la5, yup and that's really annoying... But whether its a half or full game I want to play either way. :) Most of the time they will take you out of the first team for an important match. They did to me anyway. :)
