I've been playing with England for my International league campaign and find Campbell as solid as hell. Its like he's got a "Thou shall not pass!" sign on his shirt.

i've just bought bermudez in master league(never heard of him b4)
he is absolute quality in defence.
shocked me that he is so good when i aint heard of him

Bermudez is a legend, i do agree. he has been starrin in my PES teams for a while now

Igor Tudor is a rock, he is good in the air and quick for a big man, and Lucio is good, although only a 3 man defense. My main defense this year is Federov from Kiev, and Mexes from Auxerre, both have kept clean sheet against me and achieved high marks every time i have played them

rikjaard (spelling?) is the best defender in my opinion. if you ppl dont like classics den canavaro. has all the atributes of great defender. good defence reaction an speed

Yeah, I play him, Montero and Arce at the back, and each is fairly good at tackling, following and getting the ball away. Arce has pace as well, which is useful.

Nesta is the best actual defender though. And Montero just halves people and gets himself sent off.
