business is really picking up now, just reached Kalm and done the Sephiroth going crazy/Cloud flash back! i think thats the part that really made me bite onto the story first time around.

the cut scene where Seph walks into the flames is still my favourite ever!

Started FFIX again last night, after finding my uber-file was gone. Noooo.

I've got the guides for each FF cos I play, complete and then 'mop up'. The FFVII guide doesn't explain chocobos that well but its a fairly simple game eventually. Something I found by myself that isn't in the guide thought is the SECOND ribbon accessory on the Gaea cliffs, in a chest in a secret room. Mwahhaha.

FFVII guide is awesome, as is the FFX one but the FFIX one has little things telling you to go to a site and enter 'secret codes' to get all the information. 'Twas annoying!

With reference to my last post, I was wrong bout the 'Heroine' subject, sorry rpgste! Does neone else want them to make
FFVII-2?! I know I do. Play as Reno....*drools*

Has anyone found alexandria materia on ff7?
you are meant to get it in a cave from a women, i have seen the women but she dosen't say anything,
is it right that you have to touch the lake and then speak to her?

I have seen the materia but i have never actually got it.

PES3 is a really great game, bought it the day it came out and play its the only games i play when im not playing ffix at the moment. In pes i really like training up my own players and making them into stars :D. Thats always been my favourite part of footie/management games, whenever i play champ man i always buy young players that i can train up instaed of proven world class stars, i mean players like arjen robben, who are actually as good as zidane in a couple of seasons but wont retire after that leaving you without you getting paid.
Theres nothing more satisfying than seeing your player get named world player of the year, or in pes3 scoring a hatrick against man u. it doesnt come much better than that.

yeh, i play pes a lot, probly not as much as i do when im playing a final fantasy game though, i mean 70-80 hours on pes is a little excessive, but when your really into an rpg the time flys by and you end up playing through the night. I remember the first time i was playing ffix i told myself i would stop at 11, then when it got to 12 i told myself i would stop at the next save point, then at 2 or 3 i would pause the game and just fall asleep and carry on when i woke up the next morning.

the only reason i was asking about vagrant story and ff tactics - both not taditional turn based rpgs but original dark storylined games - is the the bloke who made them both is the same bloke who is making the next ff - ffxii, which looks bloody amazing.

sorry i really cant remember, its been ages since i played ffvii, try looking on a walkthrough on gamefaqs, that might be useful for you.

yeh ffvii-2 would be cool, but i think the questions that i ahd at the end of ffvii, would be better unanswered, same with all the ffs really.

i mean do we really want to know the answers to the questions, i think thats is what makes a game really great, really memorable, it keeps you thinking and wanting to go back over the game seeing if you can fnd anything thats answers them for you.

do we really want to know if rinoa is ultimercia, or who is speaking at the end of ffix (IMO its got to be vivi, but i'll have another look when i finish the game again).

on the ffvii-2 subject again, maybe playing the game through as a different character like reno would make a good game, or a prequel to ffvii where you play as sepiroth or a long way further back in time as one of the Ancients, the possiblities are endless, but advent children looks to be the only thing that we are going to get.

i have 4-10 but have not completed 4+5. i have qite a few cough... roms...cough of older square games that never got translated to english or never got released here - bahamut lagoon, seiken dentesu 2+3, tales of phantasia (i kno it aint square but is great) etc. but they are all only on my pc for under 24 hours b4 i take em off and put em back on - so its all perfectly leagal - well...

i may not get X-2 for the simple reason as i cant be bothered wasting 40 quid on a game that im not really looking forward to and personally dont think will be that good. instead will have spend on baldurs gate:dark alliance 2, spend it on importing a quality game (eg chrono cross, xenogears, ff tactics) spend on some games that i missed and should really get now - onimusha 2, splinter cell, vagrant story, or save for gt4.

there are my reasons for not buying x-2 without even going as far as the game itself and im not going to start, i mean j-pop (i cant stand normal pop music never mind japanese stuff), missions in a ff - no, just no, and the fact that ffx was my least favorite ff; just a few reasons with the game itself.

well i think ill miss xi as well, not to fond of online rpgs, the only reason i play is for the deep story and great characters - neither present in xi so thats gone.

XII, for me, looks like the only FF to be released in near future that i will get, because it looks so damn great - have you guys seen the vid, its amazing so ill try and find a link.

just wondering, what was your favorite seen from a ff - mine was the bit in ffix where you are being chased by the black waltz and that whole scene was just great. The whole end of disc 3 on ffix rocked as well.

My favourate scene is off FF8 and the battle of the gardens bit, i think that whole section is excellent.

i like it when u land at galbadia garden with riona and are running in front of the massive battle behind you and a galbadian solder gets whacked off his bike with a sword

The WEAPONs being unleashed, awesome.

Vagrant Story rules btw and Chrono Cross is sposed to be bloody amazing as is Xenogears.

Neone here played Alundra or Grandia? They are superb RPGS with inferior sequels.

The start of FFX is good actually...that music.

Oh! RPGste, don't bother with Splinter Cell, MGS2 whoops it's ass!

On Alexander materia in FFVII, you do have to touch the lake and then get up to the womans cave in time but its tough. You can also get an added cut materia on the path on the way there. It's a great support (blue) materia that adds an attack to materia such as steal or fire or anything! The woman is a piece of ease to defeat and then you get the fifth best summon (after KOTR and the Bahamuts) because its 'holy'.

kool, i think splinter cell is good but MGS2 is way better, and i agree the opening scene to FFX was amazing.

I also like the part on FFX when u first go to Luca for the tournament, there is such a good sense of anticipation before entering.

i wasn't keen on tourney! prefer PES 3! ;)

Lol, the start of FF games are always the best because everything is happy and nice, that’s why I like the blitz ball tournament because it was a happy part of the game. :)

i have mgs2-substance and love it but when youve played it to death you really need a change!

Grandia is one of the best games i have ever played, really amazing story and that battle system was simply the best out of any game ever, simply awesome. The weapon and magic EXP system was really cool. not to mention some of the voice acting was good - mullen was best IMO.i have alundra but never really got into it as i got it at the same time as i got grandia and suikoden 2 so it got forgotten about.

to be honest i really liked grandia 2, the twists in the plot where brilliant, voice acting was good, characters where pretty good, good story, tweaked battle system and cool graphics, and melfice - he was surely one of the coolest badguys ever.

and zeppelin what do you think of my ideas for a ffvii-2? wouldnt it be cool?

and yeh the start of ffx was great as was the garden fight in viii.
