got a question to ask just before the new pro evo comes out. what is everyones favourite pro evo game ever on any console you had it on.

i didnt have nay of the ISS games so will just put them in the poll as ISS, specify which one.

In terms of on-the-pitch gameplay, ISS Pro Evolution 2 on the PSX, but overall quality, I would say PES5.

strangley enough I am playing a master league season of pes 5 at the moment and everyone talks about it being the best. In parts I agree because it took real passing skill to break through the defence but on the down side it looks like your playing on ice, the players can't turn with the ball and the amount of free kicks given is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong the pes feel is there but I think sometines everyone gets carried away with looking back at what we thought was perfection when there is no doubt every year pes has improved including 2008.When 2008 was released on ps3 I think everyone including myself expected the jump from pes 6 to be enormous due to next gen and I think we all expected to much all though it was a vast improvement just not what some had hoped for. Hopefully our expectations are realised and this site can start praising the game we love and not turn the site into 1000's of whingeing bastards for the next year (again)

PES 5 tops it. That's my fave. Enjoyed PES6 too. Of the others, I think PES3. But I did love ISS Pro Evolution 2 (or whatever the last for PS One was called).

the thing is though guys. See all the great iss/pro games, im not doubting they were excellent ( for the time ), but if you were to go and play it like it was brand new, im pretty sure you would get bored after a few days. I think each PES has just got better and better ( yes, including 08 AFTER the lag was sorted). Im not voting because i think 09 will be the best because it has a year's worth of gameplay whereas the older ones don't. They have the Legendary Status because at the time, they were mind blowingly good

Proper classic games that will NEVER age are games like Goldeneye for N64, Resident Evil for the PS and Counter-Strike 1.6 for the PC

pes 5 always my favorite, though the ps2 version of pes 6 was not too bad. if i was to chose preferred game it would have to be number 5
