Best PES?

People that have actually played the full game, not the demo! Is this the best PES in the History of the PES?



I'm waiting for more feedback to see if I should go for fifa or PES this year cause here in the U.S Fifa was already released and PES will be in a month!

Have NOT bought fifa and can only buy either PES or FIFA so..............................

Yes it is. At the end of the day it is the best and most will say no just because it didnt match the potencial of what they could of done but that doesnt take away the fact that its the best. It has quality online mixed with great offline modes that will keep me entertained for months.

The gameplay is only really good when your playing an important game. Group games in cups or friendlies just to me get boring.

if pro is back to its best then there is only one game to buy even if fifa is a good game it lacks the character. I think i am just two set in my ways but this doesn't bother me

I h ave the full game, and i have played fifa quite a bit, and i say...There is no other game to buy except PES, it is awsome, everything about it, if you dont like it i will personally send you money to buy fifa instead!!!

i am also in the usa and from what i have heard and read....both games are good this year. But i will buy pes b/c it has Chmapions league, smooth online ( about time ), and of course that gameplay.

fifa just doensnt have that same feel like pes to me.

if you dont mind working for your goals. playing patiently and having to put a lil thought to what you do on the pitch. PES is he game for you. the beautiful game is back and i hear there will be squad and license updates soon.

Also, I'm not sure whether people with PES in the USA can play Europeans which could be a downfall, you couldn't in PES 2008, but that may have changed now...

Why is that exactly? Just curious. I can see that you've been a member since 2003, so I take it, that you used to play PES and not FIFA.
But then again - taking into account, that you've been playing FIFA for quite some time now, and only just started on PES, makes a difference in favor of FIFA. As it's stated in a review, making the transition from FIFA to PES - will have PES looking flat - but making the transition back to FIFA from PES, will make FIFA look sluggish, since the gameplay is much more fuid and better in PES.

I'd really like to hear an unbiased reason - since I'm torn between the two games, but with a slight favor towards PES because of the better gameplay...

For me, PES is the way to go. Like others have said, you have to really work those fingers. A lot of people say PES is arcady, which its NOT! Those people don't understand how football should be played... Sorry!

I've played both PES09 and FIFA09 (I only gave FIFA a try after a mate kept nagging at me...). I couldn't get into FIFA at all. Its not for me.

FIFA - More eye candy, more individual modes, and basically its all about who can pull off the better tricks.... I found FIFA slower than PES and the gameplay was choppy.

PES - Graphics are getting there, same goes for the sounds. But the gameplay has always been there. In my opinion anyone can play PES, but in order to play it properly, you have to be clued up. Its harder to break teams down and you can't run through the whole opposing team with one player. You require skills just like FIFA, but the skill you need in PES is teamwork. Without this skill, you might as well play FIFA.

I personally don't understand all the players that choose Barca, Inter and Chelsea. It just shows their lacking something. Even with all the best players at your disposal, they wont make you a great player. Not on PES anyway.

you're on the wrong forum for a neutral opinion OP.

PES has shown no improvements since the days of pes 5 or 6 on the ps3. Yes, they have made CHANGES, but they arent IMPROVEMENTS. Fifa has made HUGE IMPROVEMENTS and only fanboys can deny that fifa 09 is not the best football game out there. You can score all sorets of goals in fifa and they look very real. If fifa 09 was the only football game on Earth, I would buy it, if Pro Evo was, I wouldnt, well....not anymore.

^I'm sorry but STFU. FIFA MADE BIG IMPROVEMENTS BUT BECAUSE THE PS2 VERSION WAS A BIG JOKE. Also Pes made improvements. They're both great but pes's gameplay is still superior. The shooting is better than fifa for sure. The curls in pes 09 are definatlely the best out of all pes games. Passing is always great in pes unlike 08.

The difference is that you cant tell your players to tackle or pass or do anything...

ONLY 24 out of 32 teams are in that mode!
Where is arsenal?Where are all the Champions League teams....?

I payed for a game that is NOT up to date?And only 4 leagues are for me to play?And not all the teams are licensed?Sorry but this isnt the game I used to play and love when I was younger...(iss-pes-wes)
KONAMI you really killed this game...
And...Most of you people still play pes because passing and shooting is much easier in pes than in fifa...
DONT JUDGE A GAME IF YOU DONT PLAY IT...
I played both games...And I can honestly say...If I ever get bored with fifa 2009 I will start playing fifa 2008 again...
