Best position in BAL to score goals?

I hear that the ai is not very attack minded, and if you are a forward you have to come back to midfield to get the ball and help push the play. The problem is, I guess your rating suffers from playing out of position. Conversely, I would guess as a MF, one you pass to a forward, they are far more likely to go for goal then set you up at all. What's the best way to be a strong scoring player?

It depends on your teams way of playing too.

My PSG plays with a 4-4-1-1 and thus, has me on top as a target man all the time. This means that I usually come down, recieves the ball and passes it along to someone else.

i play on beginner so for me is cf because i just call for ball and do my own thing and score im just too bad to play on a harder skill and i have more fun winning and scoring ridiculous amount of goals

I play as a winger, and drift all over th pitch to create and/or take chances. The middle of the pitch is the best place to park if you want to get longer shots on net, or to chip through to your stikers, but if you want to score a lot of goals you are best staying up front, taking up central or just off center positions. Your teammates will find you if you are in a good position.

Personally - I think that being out of position is no problem for ratings. Even if it is, it's better for your ratings to be involved with play, score goals, etc, than it is to just play your role perfectly, but like a mouse. One of the most effective movements in BAL, I find, is to switch wings to the wing where the ball is and make runs for through balls that are towards the wing you're not supposed to be on - in other words, it can be extremely effective to play out of position, and I haven't noticed that it hurts my ratings.

I totally agree with the comment above. I also play as a winger most of the time and my BAL player can also play CF and SMF. He's now 25 and ive basically played everywhere attacking wise apart from AMF and what iamcanadianeh said above is spot on imo. Always try to get into space and make sure you have good timing on calling for the ball and you will find you get a decent amount of chances to score. It also depends on the quality and consistency of players around you too.

I've played on Top Player all my BAL life - been scoring 30+ goals since the age of 19 - my last season was at Real Madrid where I scored 48 in 51 appearances. I played CF even though I was an SS.

In a CF position you can score goals but it's boring. I prefer a WF. You can score and assist at the same time.
WF is an awesome position.
