Best series, character, defiening moment ever in gaming history

I was thinking channel 4 always do top 100 songs or greatest films so why not do a main chart consisting of the best game ever.

I was wondering what is peoples favorite game, character, gaming series or moment in a game which really affecting them.

i fing it hard to say my favorite game as i have ten that are so close between resident evil 2 or legend of zelda.

I feel there is so many great series
e.g.
Theres Pro evolution soccer
Final fantasy
Tomb raider
GTA
Metal gear
Zelda
The sims

but whats your favoite let me know

Also when playing on zelda wind waker and i came ashore on the island with the shcool and children playing hide and seek, elvis, the midnight burgular and many more i felt like i was there and i could feel the sunshine the smells of the flowers it was brillinat. or on resident evil 2 when your o the train and you feel so relieeved that youve destroyed the boss then suddelnly it comes back stronger with a bril cut scene it left my heart pounding then suddenly all the gore an horro was gone and leon and clair were in a sunny meadow it actually felt like i was in the ordeal and it was finally over.

the warcraft series is up there (from 1 right through to world of warcraft)
the Half life series - another quality series
pro evo series of course

the sims was disturbingly addictive although i am not going to call it one of the greats

there are more, but i cannot think of any at the moment, too tired and hungry (damn hmaburger thread i made, man i am going to have some dinner)

Divided them into some sort of categories:

Favorite Series: PES,GTA,Monkey Island,Soul Calibur,War and Starcraft,

Terribly addicting: Sims,Sim City,Quake,Unreal Tournament,Smash TV,Tetris,Dance Dance Revolution!

Best Sports games: PES and Sensible Soccer are head to head here.

Best Games: PES,Grim Fandango(Brilliant),Super Mario Bros.3 and Ninja Gaiden.

Old School: California Games,It had an insane level of depth, I didnt expect that.
I sucked at the Surfing an Footbag parts, but boy,I had a great time.

Tony Hawk (only 1, 2 and 3 underground was shithouse, i used to rock at number 2, a 550,000 point combo in Philly andin 2 mins, i'd get about 750,000)

California games was awesome.. but didnt go much on number 2..

i was really into res evil 2 aswell. v addictive. grand tourismo has always being great. I loved the fifa tiltles back in the past-How stupid i was!
Also fighting force if anyone remembers.

anyone palyed metriod prime 1 on the gamecube the part were u spiral down dozens of floors of stairs to reach the botton were the thermal googles are located. when picking them up the room goes pitch black and the domming music booms. I felt weak having to us the thermal googles to see which was very tense. Fantastic.

The FIFA-series were quite enjoyable, but they never gave you the feeling you were playing an amazingly realistic and neither you did get the feeling EA was trying to bring you that.

I can't believe that no one has put "SONIC"!?!?!?!?!? Unbelievable! U can't beat sonic, pac-man, super mario or of course, pes.

I am surprised Timesplitters 2 didnt make it in there along with GOD OF WAR but i suppose it is too recent and i dont feel the nostalgia from it.

But those cars.....they were SO slow and handled SO amazingly bad
It had a great atmosphere though, you really felt like you were in the middle of something great.

How come I forgot to mention Tetris?

That game certainly was the most addictive game ever.

The reason I didn't put Star Wars series in Top 10 is because there has been so many bad games based on it, there is only a handful of good Star Wars games, and I've mentioned a few.
