I started a ML with Toulouse. They are actually a great team with lots of good players that develop into world class talent eg: Gignac,Machado,M'Bengue,Capoue ect...

Birmingham City are a big team so perhaps you should try a small one - Villa for example

I started with Xerez, of course Top Player

No Money, No good players, I got for the first two seasons only 10.000USD per game won at home for my sponsor and around 20-30k for attendance.

And only 700K for the sponsor at the beginning of season.

That is really a challenge, don't you think.

Depends how much you play doesn't it? If you don't play that much, choose a big team straight away, if you play alot, then go for a lesser team.

Bolton!

Bolton is a good team to start. Squad is full of players with decent stats, but only 1 above 80.

It's not too challenging but its not too easy.

I started with Burnley. I think this is good cos you have a lot of old players and a lot of players with potential.

I am in the 4th season and I won the PL and FA cup last year. Knocked out in CL semis. I only have 2 or 3 players rated 80 or above. My team ranking makes it hard to buy star players. you need to find the hidden gems and build them up.

Hull beat me in ML 3-0 (I was Birmingham) then I beat Arsenal and Liverpool and lost to Fulham. My ML is crazy.

I agree with you, you really got a good point for this game.

I want to play pes 2010 often after i bought it, so I started my ML with TEAM L(TEAM A -TEAM Z) in English league, woa, that was hard even in D2 league, it takes some efforts just to win a game, frankly, my players run slowly and have poor techniques comparing with my opponents in D2 league, well after many sleepless nights and days of struggling, i finally got promoted to English league and my opponents are obviously much tougher than in D2 league. I definitely need some better players for my team, but my funds are limited, and due to my team's low ranking and lacking of reputation, i can barely sign any players even rubbish ones and my players loyalty levels are low and it affects my player's skill stats improvement.
That is very chanllenging, but it becomes a headache, not much fun.
so I played as Barcelona for a change, and i play less because of work, the game is much easier, players are fast and agile, have good technigues, winning games is no longer a big problem, signed some decent players like SANTON because i have sufficient funds.
I had some good quality entertainment by playing pes 2010 on ps3.

ok, just wanna share expierences with you guys
good luck to your game

Wanna challenge? Try Wisla Krakow.

try master league default players..

cant dribble..cant pass quick enough..poor shooting power&accuracy,poor balance...poor response...(cant get enough)

give it a try..you'll appreciate PES more after that

:)

I dont think in pes 2010 you can play ML using default players.

You can do so in pes 2009, and other previous versions, i tried ML default players in pes 2009, it was solid hard (with castolo, rustin and some other funny players), as you said, the player's skill stats are low, like dribbling, pass speed and accracy, shooting power, and balance and so on. BUT the game can still be played, well, it takes awful lot of trouble to win any team though.
I will appreciate PES more if pes 2011 have more improvements and erase any glitches or bugs as much as they can(i personally doubt that can be done).

I created Sheffield United for my ML and started with the default players (Castolo, Ruskin etc).

I think I got £3m to start with. I thought everyone started with this amount? So if I started with Man U, but with default players, would I have had a starting budget of like £20m? That just seems too easy to me.

I like starting with nothing and trying to build a quality team over time. It's a challenge!
