Mostly patches are available for direct download with normal links but these often stop working after a while so people have to use the torrent links to get the patch.
Patches for Pro Evolution Soccer and Winning Eleven games are free to download and this is why we can use torrents to download them. Other files are available to download via torrent and not all of these are legal so we are not allowed to discuss downloading anything other than patches here. If you do discuss download anything else then it may be a bannable offence so be careful with what you post.
Several patch threads contains links to (or attached) torrent files. A torrent file is NOT the patch. It only helps you to download the patch. A torrent file is tiny so do not think that it is a patch. Patches are huge file, ranging from 300MB to 500MB.
If you are new to using bit torrents you need to read this:
http://dessent.net/btfaq/
Download a bit torrent program such as Azureus and then open the torrent file for your patch within Azureus and the patch will begin to download. Using bit torrents is like using P2P but people who have a partial file can still upload what they have to others who do not have this part of the file yet. So someone with 10% of the whole patch could be uploading something to someone who has 90% of the patch (but has different parts).
Open the torrent file within your torrent program and the download will begin after a few minutes. You will need to be patient to download any PES/WE patches.
I have been sharing a few PES4 and WE8:LE patches for a few months now and have seen the same thing happening all the time. People start downloading the patch. They then come onto the forums and whinge that it is coming too slowly. They are told to be patient as there are not many seeds (people with the complete file). And eventually when these people complete the download you would expect them to stick around and upload the patch with other people - but no. They stop the upload as soon as they have what they need and move on with their lives. This is a very selfish attitude and is not good for the PES/WE community.
PLEASE SHARE THE FILES YOU DOWNLOAD.
I don't see why I should upload a patch to over 35 people just to see them bugger off and not share the file with others and I'm left to share it by myself to a new bunch of people who then whinge that it is too slow. Well, you can thank the people that don't share the patches for that.
Happy torrenting of the free patches and happy sharing.
(Warning: if you do not share stuff then your balls will drop off in the night).
