bored of PES yet?

My first impression of the game: IT F*CKING SUCKS!!!...First of all that fucker of a seabass doesn't really understand the possibilities of the PS3. I'm missing the real next gen sensation which i was kind of hopin' for. Then second i dont know whut the fuck is wrong with this game but i've seen the same bitchin' on several threads on dutch forum. In every mode I played until now, it seems that the disc is skipping while it's not...catch my drift??...nahw??? It's like fucking watching an old picture-movie from the 1930's. Out of frustration I went back to playing PES6 on the PS2 with my mates. The game is not only a dissapointment, it's not even playable. I know whut im gon' do i'ma take this bitch back to the store and take my €60,-- I paid for this lame ass previous-gen game

I loved PES5/PES6, but PES2008 sucks dick. Slow is for now my most hated feature.

Sounds that the PS3 version really does have some issues....especially from what PrinceofEgypt is ranting on about....

A few months ago I was on verge of getting a PS3 foolishly thinking that the new ProEv would be Da Bomb on it.....How glad am I that I got a sociable front room friendly Wii console instead.

by time PS3 is getting used to full potential they will be retialing for £100 or somehting....I will get one then.....but continue letting the willing lab guinea pigs pay £300+ for theirs just now.

but i think what people r most disappointed with is the fact that the game hasnt got anything new, game mode wise. its actually got less features then the PS2 version, which is disgraceful

yes the gameplay is superb(questionable after the demo) but there is nothing new, KONAMI just seem to be releasing the same PES with just alittle update(like diving) (on next gen, actually TAKING AWAY THINGS which they will bring back later like FIFA used to do)

i think PES5 on PS2 and XBOX 1 is better then the next gen PES gameplay.

and to all of u that r having ago at people for putting their opinion on the game.......GET A LIFE. just cause u disagree with them doesnt mean u can belittle them

I think people loved PES so much because of the editing. Now that it has been reduced so much, people complain. Gameplay was always good but it seems to become more arcade-ish more and more. I bet next years pro will become a cartoon type game. World Tour Soccer anyone? :laugh:

on PS2 game isn't slow for me. it's a mixture of PES an WE. i'm ok with that.
and mates, IT IS JUST A GAME!!!! you've spend 50-60 EUR; so what, you'll go to the pub and spend that money, but you'll not complain. i was a little bit dissapointed at first, but it is just a game. and there's no such thing as a perfect game. play this pes2008 with your friends and have a good time (with friends!!!).

first up, i havent bought this game, so my copy is available for someone else oh and FIFA is awful

but my main gripe is what someone else has said too, the gameplay was cracked ages ago, so where is the £30+ for each game being spent on? its certaintly not licences, or giving us the opportunity to create a more realistic-looking game

and from my experiences, the gameplay has been getting messed about with too much with each release. they are so obsessed with releasing a new game every year that they need to justify it, therefore changing things when it doesnt need to

i understand why they release a new game every year because thats how they get money, but until next-gen came along, they had to find stupid reasons for the justification of the new release, well now they have it and it seems they have thrown together something of a mess

this is what annoys me. gota say for the last 2 or 3 releases they have been churning out 2nd rate games just like EA, not like the careful and hard-working earlier games which actually improved the previous one

greedy konami need to get back to their basics to make a great game, or they can keep going like this, although does it matter?? lots of people complaining but still buying, why should konami care?

Bit harsh because if it was not for Seabass PES would not exist, you could have said something like "PES 2008 has been a letdown this year". If you think its bad, 1) go and make a better PES or 2) take the game back and get your money back. If you don't like it because of editing either patch the game or buy FIFA, i bet if there was full editing, and licenses you wouldn't be complaining.

Gotta admit, i was in a frustrated mood when i wrote it :ninja:. But still the biggest issue is that it's simly not playable cuz of the damn delayed frames.

I'm not seeing it as PES but as a product. The game doesn't work properly and that's Konami's fault, so it aint so strange to blame Konami/seabass (respect for all the previous version,'He got me hooked since winning Eleven 6), is IT??:S. I'm not saying i can't be convinced and eventually start to like PES2008, but they will have to solve the problem for all the people instead of lettin their customers fix the game in strange ways by changing the ps3 settings etc. For me it aint a problem to update, but i'm sure there are many people who don't have the abilities to, what are they supposed to do now??

And about your "if"-theories. There is no full editing option, and there simply aren't enough liscenses (which is ok, cuz Fifa holds all the rights, and Konami is not in any way able to get their hands on the complete package) .

Without even touching on the lack of innovation within the menu and options, online lag.. ect...ect...(which i also felt flawed PES6) its difficult to for me to recommend this game if you have a PS3, the frame rate is so bad.. replays are unwatchable and it also pops up frequently during gameplay which i find has lost a lot of depth and atmosphere.
And why should it matter what kind of TV you have??, whats that about?
How can they release an unfinished game that barely manages to stutter along?, its almost criminal...
I'm trying to were blinkers because i love this game so much over the years but its hard to ignore and even harder to accept.
I've been playing since the early ISS days and PES had been my staple game for the last 8-9 years... the biggest reason why i game at all..
I'm usually in the shop at midnight on the release date but this year for the first time ever i rented the game given a bit of a let down with the options in PES6.. and i'm glad i did as it pains me to say i don't think i'll be buying PES this year (nor fifa as its worse and i'd rather suck Satans c@*k).....
I feel this is a bad deal for PS3 owners and i know i expect more from my console and Konami who have given us this half arsed approach yet again!.....so i'll wait to see if there's a foreign release later in the year with the bugs ironed out.. who knows..
I'm just really annoyed that for the first time ever i'll not be playing a proper footie game this crimbo while having a few beers.

I have played the PS3 version, and I really really enjoy it! You can play beautiful football, pass the ball around brilliantly, create great chanes by playing that one killah ball! The game is brilliant and I am enjoying it, so personally id like to congratulate Konami on another triumphant game!
