What difficulty level are you lot playing on? I only bought it recently so i'm still on village mode.
One of the first things I did was a test against the Windies, which was a mistake as i didn't really know how to bowl or anything about field positions. I eventually bowled them out for 555 :mellow: , Lara was unbeaten on 230. the next innings they only finished on 164.

I play the one day games on county difficulty. I and my mate, we can hit too many sixes on the slog and village mode, far too many for our liking. I play test on test. Scores tend to be low on that especially if you get impatient and try to hit the good balls. What’s it like against the computer? I haven’t played against the computer yet.
i have been playing brian lara and its amazing. had every ea game before this and think this tops them all.
there are a couple of problems but if there is an annual update they should be sorted.
1. there is no shot variation- you can do a normal shot, power shot and block - on ea you have back foot and front foot and special (i think)
2. you throw the ball to the wicket keeper end everytime not bowlers end.
3. too hard to make singles. easier to hit sixes.
4. no licenses, this is annoying because it doesnt feel right. i dont have a problem with pro evo but on this game the players dont even have the right actions apart from on the ICC tournaments.
5. if you play the world cup you have the teams from the last world cup (although this recreates the world cup i want to paly a tournament with present teams.)
6. no sweep shots!!! what are u supposed to do to spinners???

I rented out Cricket 2005 and it is horrible. It hasn't improved from 2004 and it's very slow. The batting is rubbish and the fielders always seem to fumble the ball. Hate the game. Brian lara is better for sure.
