The overall stat works better in fifa coz they have numerous stats for each player, but on pro we know every stat how it works coz are the same like 6+ years now and the hexagon works better!

The overall stat in fifa works because their individual stats mean nothing cos there's no individualality.

You are all stupid. Sorry.

What that number means is not their average but how good they are in that position. You could have someone absolutely rubbish but have a 90 number on the left because they are good there. So I agree the Hexagon is very good and simple which Fifa didn't have - that means its great!

Not all of us lol.

Yh if you play FIFA (Like I do) you will know that the numbers means how good they are in a certain position.

If you don't play FIFA don't worry because PES has it now and you'll soon get the jiggggggggg.

but the hexagon IS on FIFA isn't it? I thought so...

No the hexagon is not on FIFA.

I should know because i'm playing it right now lol.

I wasnt a particular fan of the hexagon, but when comparing to the average number they put in now, I definetly want the hexagon back.

Must admit I felt lost without the pentagon (has 5 points) when comes to subbing or arranging a formation. I don't really get the numbers that appear when selecting a player, can someone let me know exactly how it works please?

OK The numbers work like they work in FIFA:

Say if you had Torres as a striker in your formation, it will say something like Torres - 85.

Then if you had Carragher as a defender in your formation, it will say something like Carragher - 85.

But if you swap Torres and Carragher around and put Torres as a centre back and put Carragher up front as a striker then it will say something like Carragher - 35 and Torres - 35.

So basically it is saying if Carragher is going to play as a striker his rating as a striker would be 35/100.
And with Torres it is saying if Torres is going to play as a defender his rating as a defender would be 35/100.

But Torres plays as a striker so his rating as a striker is 85/100.
It is the same with Carragher, if he plays as a defender his rating is 85/100.

So basically the number is how good a certain player is in a certian position on the pitch.

Another example is that if you are a striker, and your manager said that you will play in defence this week, then you won't be as good as the other defenders because you are a striker not a defender, therefor your defending stats would be like 30/100 but if you play as a striker which is where you are good at playing, then your rating would be 90/100.

It is displayed like this then:

Striker: JackWhoBRA 90

But move him to defence and:

Defender: JackWhoBRA 30

Once you get the game i'm sure you will get the idea. I know because I always buy FIFA and PES so I have good knowlege of both games.

Hope this helps :)

What is the algorithm they use to determine how good a player is in a certain position? The graphical side by side comparison that the pentagon gave us was great for considering what a players strengths/weaknesses were in 5 major categories. It was up to our discretion as to whether to play them in a certain position or not.

We all know Torres doesn't player goalkeeper, so the overall value at the low end, i.e 25 is not the area of concern (just an indication that he is playing out of position). But what does 50 mean? Is it a percentage of how well a player will do? Is it just a rating? What is the mean rating for a player in any given position? What's the deviation for each position? It just complicates things as far as playing what should be a simple game and it tries to force us to trust Konami's calculation as to who would make a good SB. That's where graphical representations came in handy. Depending on your style, you might not need a SB that is good at defense but better going forward, how does that factor into these overall ratings?

I am sure we will all sort it out, the question is why should we have to?
