Burning onto CD

Everytime I try to burn the game with alcohol 120% onto CD it always has the lowest speed as 8X. Is this an ok speed for burning or does it need tobe slower.

Also when I use nero the lowest speed is also 8X.

Is there an otion I can turn off apart from select fastest burning speed.

Put your cd in first, then laod up the program and see what happens.

After i put the cd in it goes to 8X, before i put it in I can have 1X.

The lowest I can do is 8x, and they sound horrible in the PS2. Is there any damage done by continuing to play despite the louder-than-usual noises?

Dunno, not an expert in those thing. But actually GFK is right, 8x should be ok, although I´d recommend 4x or even 2x. When you burn correctly and use a high-quality CDR there shouldn´t be any "louder-than-usual" noises
But keep in mind that PES or WE7:I on a CD is a rip, so the PS2 will be louder than when you play the DVD full version.
