How do you shift unwanted players in the ML!? I've got heaps of dead wood in my side but I don't want to discharge them I want to sell them. I need the cash/points! I'm a desparate man! Any idea how to encourage teams to purchase my poorest? Increasing their stats seems to kinda, maybe work (sometimes) but there must be a way.

Thank you for your time.

There is an option in the settings to encourage the CPU teams to buy a lot and an option that they buy poor players, they both are options with stars, so I suggest that you raise one and lower the other.

Are you both talking about the same game?
Seems to me like Flipper is talking about PES2 and mr ajax is talking about PES3.

Putting the stats up, IS the best way to get rid of unwanted donkeys. do it at the end of the season as the transfer window opens. i once couldnt get rid of diego tristain so i put his stats to 99 all the way down. real madrid bought him for like 9000 pts and gave him a 5 year 900+ pts contract. oh how i chuckled as i restored him to default. :D

Jesus christ that's just cheating.

I used to cheat on pes2 occasionally.

Now on we7 it's master league, pure, no cheating, no reloading, no turning the stars down for cup finals, level 5, if I lose I lose. Don't cheat boys you're only cheating your own sense of achievement. . . . .

transfers......

Ok.

I'm in my third season of playing WE7 and have had only two offers for any of my players. Both ones I had recently bought and would not have dreamed of selling.

However, if the game is anything like PE2 on the PS2, it takes time! The reason no one wants any of my players, and probably yours, is that they're all shit! Who'd buy a goal-shy blunderer like Castelo? As for the keepers...

By my fifteenth season of PES2 I had probably sold twenty players. I was even selling some, like Rivaldo, to pay for Recoba for a change, then swapping back when I preferred Rivaldo.

The point is, the game is flawed in that there aren't enough teams operational in a master league to offer a realistic transfer environment. Any more transfers would be ridiculous as the teams would be buying and swapping crap players who would be, in reality, sold for peanuts to some eastern european up and comers, or end up playing darts and dragging their fat arse round a sunday pub league team.

BUT, don't cheat. It'll come.

i dont consider selling a player for more than hes worth as cheating, its not helping me on the pitch is it now, and extreme mode's save mode stops you from cheating. i find these comments strange, i have sold up to 7 or 8 players in a close season b4 but i can definitely confirm the fact that the computer only seems to offer for your top players or the ones u cant really afford to sell because of cover for positions. saying that i recently started a new game and after winning masters cup in div.2 i had over 20000 points come transfer time at start of div.1. i only sold 2 and ended up being left with 3000 points cos of my reliance on them buying from me. i think its possibly down to thier goals and assists the previous season to an extent.

I can't remember the if it was you. But someone was advocating altering stats in order to sell players they couldn't sell, and also then lowering the stats once another team had bought them for an inflated price.

Now, this DOES help you on the pitch because I assume you want the money to buy new players, better players, etc etc.

Anyway, I'm in my third season and I took the step of transfer listing my players and miranda, castelo and burchett went at the end of season two. I've since picked up saviola, crespo, desailly, fortune, ronaldhino, cannavaro, cordoba (I), nakata, carini and cervat. Not my first choice, but five of these came for nothing at the end of their contracts. Since then I've shifted another couple of deadbeats, by transfer listing them. With the transfer listing option. You are playing WE7 aren't you and not just PES2?

My point is. It clearly is cheating, altering stats, and it's unnecessary, but that's up to you.

look dickpiece it dosent help you on the pitch it simply acts as a catalyst to your success. and if your stupid arse had read the thread youd notice were talking about pes2. cheating is altering the results in some way or playing with created players or retired players, which incidentally most of you on this website do, so get your facts straight b4 u step to me fool.

so says zinedine...

Ha. Look, before you generalise yourself into a corner and turn all bitter on everyone "dickpiece" (heh); my point was, no, I don't cheat. AND it's ridiculous for you to call changing the stats of a player to make more money from him and short change Real Madrid as not cheating. It clearly is. And it gets you more money, which gets you more players, and it handicaps another good team in your league. The balance is offset and you have quite obviously cheated. 'Catalyst'? what are you a politician? Jesus just play some football, get better or something, and get WE7.

dickpiece.
