are people still havein problems connecting to games on COD?

I am, It's really starting to annoy me now, I can only get into matches quickly if people invite me into theirs. But, Ive opened the required ports in my router setup and it still takes ages to find a match :realmad:

I'm experiencing similar problems on Live. Sometimes the only way to get a match is to pick the Team Deathmatch that doesn't allow parties. Just all randomers chucked in together.

Do I nees anymore ports opening, people who are connected via wireless routers ???

If anyone is up for a big party Team Deathmatch sometime, let us know. I doubt it will be for anytime soon, with the servers being seriously pish.

I usualy play Call of Duty after 9pm.

How are so many of you having problems? I've only played the game twice at my mates (for about 12 hours each time admittedly!) but I've never experienced any problems.

I fucking love the game, it's so much fun and I really wish I was able to get online at Uni as I'd definitely get it then.

It's just been playing up as of late. I had me and a friend in a room, and whenever it (finally) found a game, it booted him out. Plus whenever it found a game the game lobby would close before the game started.

Most likely is. Been playing it quite a lot for the last two weeks without any problems until the other night. Haven't tried it since mind you.

The PS3 did have a few problems the past few days and sometimes takes a while to find any matches. There seems to be loads of people playing ground war and team deathmatch. Eventually you find some people though.

My bro's 360 just wouldnt find anyone earlier and kept booting him off.

I experimented with that perk but gave up on it; I like to stick to Penetration and Stopping Power, does the trick for me; my favourite combination has to be AK47 (Red Dot Sight) with the "M1195.392392" (or whatever its called) Pistol attached with a silencer. Once you learn to shoot off in small bursts and control ther recoil the AK 47 can be an absolute monster. My alternative classes include a stealth one whereby I silence either MP5/G36C/P90 + UAV Jammer, Sniper class with Dragunov, Heavy Gunner with RPD. But my favoured custom class has to be the one which involves my lovely AK 47


But I get much too involved with FPS'. I start chasing K/D Ratio and then get stupidly frustrated whenever I fall behind my targets in a game

It was great playing this with mates before. However I do believe their should be some sort of system on the game where it puts you against players of similar skill level because I'm sick of playing against an opposing team where every single one of them is on like prestige 3.

'Tis true; alot of the time the "random" sorting of teams doesn't help either, it always seems to put the highest ranked players together on one side...

I currently use (when I actually get to play);

- Primary: G3SC Assault Rifle with Red Dot Sight
- Side Arm: Desert Eagle
- Stun Grenades
- Perk 1: Three Frag Grenades - Very handy.
- Perk 2: UAV Jammer - Great to sneak around the enemy.
- Perk 3: Something I cant remember right now, will edit later.

The most used gun I use is the M4 Carbine RDS - That gun is the best, short bursts are excellent.

I find the M16 to be the most reliable, it may only spray 3 bullets per time, but usually those 3 bullets are enough to kill someone therefore kind of making it a one shot, one kill gun. There's no recoil with the M16 either so it's incredibly accurate, no matter what level I get to, I'll always use the M16 with Red Dot Sight when I want to because it's simply a quality gun.

If you want fully-automatic spray though, I'd suggest either the MP5 or the RPD, both deadly in the right hands. I use the MP5 with the Red Dot Sight, or sometimes the Silencer depending on the mood I'm in.

It all depends on the Map obviously, M16 is perfect I reckon for mid-sized maps such as Crash and Strike, whereas the RPD or MP5 is better suited to smaller places like Vacant.
