Play got them in stock Friday evening, like Hunter posted.

If you hated spawnrapes in CoD4, you're going to rip your fucking hair out with CoD5!

All told, the single-player campaign is about as short as that in Modern Warfare, but it doesn't drag on.

I think that's pretty much sealed it for me. So many games companies are neglecting the offline aspect of games now. Gone are the days of sitting for hours with Medal of Honour.

Pah.

That's disappointing. I don't know if this game has been released on consoles but, are their server better than that of COD4? I couldn't play online on COD4 because the screen stuck on the "downloading game setting", even when I tried wired connection.

What a waste B$100 that was.

The PS3 had issues with some routers that wouldn't get past the "downloading game settings" stage. Never had problems with the Xbox.

Taken a complete U-turn on this game; looking to sell it already.

I can just about handle spawnrapes, but three times in 10 seconds? By the same guy? Why it plants me 10 yards away from where he killed me, in the direction he was heading, is beyond me.

Also hate how crowded it seems, despite such large levels. I could spot someone at say 12 o'clock, start firing and there's sure to be someone at 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock.

Think I'll wait until CoD6!

I'm sure they'll release a patch to sort the spawning...but I knew not to get my hopes up for this game because it was different makers than COD4

however, last night in ASDA they were selling it for £27! a steal!

Treyarch should give up making CoD games after CoD4's success, after the BETA I'm suprised people would've bought it (those who were in it of course).

I really liked the demo. But aside from the spawnraping (which is a joke by the way). Finding yourself in a 2vs1 or 3vs1 almost all the time is stupid.

BELIEVE
Only played a few games so far with and without some friends online and to be honest I'm loving it so far. I can't wait to unluck Hardcore mode and UAV Jammer. The environments are spectacularly detailed, and the majority of maps are quite big, but I've noticed on Normal Team Deathmatchs at least, people like to congregate into one big crowd in the centre usually.

I think it's quality! Story mode is about the same length as CoD4 but still very good. Online is awesome as well.

BELIEVE
Think I'll buy this later on tonight and give it a go online..

how does it compare to COD4?

Very similar. Expectedly mind since it's the same engine. The maps are a tad more detailed and enthralling in COD5 though I'd say, especially when you see debris flying everywhere destructing the maps, seeing wood and bricks scattering etc. If I was to compare so far, I'd put them on similar levels definetely.

I'm struggling to find any real flaws with the game at the moment, there's more ranks and more perks which just adds a little something. I wasn't going to get the game, and just wait for Santa to bring me it. ;) Then I heard all my mates talking about getting it, so I just went to Tesco and bought it, great having a laugh with friends though.

Well, I played this last night for about 20 minutes (split-sreen) but I couldn't really take it all in as I was tired and a bit pished. My first impressions were meh, the only thing I really like is the extra gore and teh dawgs.

I've sold mine to my mate. Will prob either rent it or buy it when it's on offer, but it doesn't warrant £40 being spent on it considering I have just bought Fifa 09, Guitar Hero IV and will be getting Rock Band 2 in a week. Don't want to neglect £100s worth of games, for a game I'm not really "getting on with".

There was this one map, can't remember the name, but it was huge. Had loads of houses you could go in, tanks, hills, the lot. Loved that map, but only had it once :/

Don't you think you were a bit hasty daft cunt? I imagine this game will be quality (getting it for Xmas), especially that Zombie mode.

I have high expectations since CoD4, so no, not really. Need to get some money with Xmas looming, so if there's patches released to sort the shit stuff out I may either rent it or buy it on the cheap in X months time.

That or wait until CoD6.
