I finally got the game for Christmas and have just started it yesterday, playing about an hour. I think it's amazing. Seriously brilliant. I can't wait to get on with the story, then sort out my internet and get online to be mullered by you lot.
On a side note - I was expecting more from the airport level. After all the controversy I thought it would be a lot worse than it actually was.

Also nicked a teammate's chopper gunner literally a second before he got to the crate.

I tried tried to go through that level by not killing any of the civilians. But I couldn't make it and shot them.
I got beaten by a couple of kids last night. Not amused! Losing air drops stuck up on roofs, out of bounds, killed, or stolen are annoying. Very annoying!
Although I got someones crate that was stuck up on the glass roof at the airport on team deathmatch. Took me a second to shoot the crate and gain the chopper.
Had a few games with dotty. He's pretty good. Currently at rank 52. After 2 days and 20 hours. The game is too addictive. One more game.........

I hate it when you put in a good stint and yet the rest of your team let you down. I might not have had a +31, but I've be +15 etc. When you do that and you still don't win it's infuriating, especially when not one other fuck on your team can even get to evens.
Earlier my cousin put in a 49/10 and won the game for the team. The second highest person on his team had 6 kills.
He also put in a 50/4 today. The boy plays too much! Although a big thanks you goes out to Andy. Predator Missile -> Harrier Strike -> Chopper Gunner works like a charm!

Last night, I had my first good session on Call of Duty for some time, after a week long hiatus in December, I came back to discover that I was, once again, bollocks. I got 22-8, 25-8 and 15-6... not spectacular by some people's standards on here, but after struggling to maintain evens of late I'm happy enough. I just need to work on building longer killstreaks... I have no idea how you guys get to 30-40.

Just did my best, using the Aug which is a pretty decent gun. Unfortunately my Chopper Gunner got shot down straight away, gutting.

There's a lot of luck to it. You can be biding your time as a sniper, racking up the kills, but if you're caught by a predator missile, there's nothing to prevent it. I usually run away from my teammates as much as possible and scramble to a building if there's one within proximity. Sometimes even that's not enough. They get me anyway, somehow.
Best way to get long killstreaks is to have a room full of morons. It's a shame, but the truth. You need morons on your own team to prevent them getting particularly high scores (and stealing your kills if someone drops to last stand!). And you need morons on the other team, naturally.
It's difficult playing with people from this site because no-one fulfils the retarded qualities needed. And an impossible nightmare to get a good run going if the opposition gets some form of air support.
