How's this for an idea?
When a great PES4 option file is available (featuring transfer updates and updated kits with logos), transfer it to your memory card and then go down to your local Game, Virgin, Gamestation etc and offer them a chance to copy it.

Then when the game is running and people see it with logos and jazzy stuff, they might reconsider buying fifa.

I did this with my local Gamestation with an early PES3 option file and they were cool with it. Having the real team and player names while the game is playing in-store looked better than all that default stuff.

Hi Zyg, i've never used the option files to sort out the kits etc on pes but am keen to do it for pes4. Can you tell me how to go about it or point me to the right thread?! I know i need an 'X-port' but i already have a regular usb drive with 128mb, would this do the job? Cheers

I mean can the shop really show an edited pes4 running on their telly while they sell the default non-edited one? And wouldn't some customers possibly complain that they don't have the edits in, as this feature was the reason why they bought the game (instead of fifa, per say)

But if you say it's possible... then i guess i have to believe it.

Oh and BTW where should i keep looking for a future pes4 patch? I still got my xport that i bought for pes3 back in the day...

I don't see why it would be forbidden. Depends on what kind of people run the shop I guess. If they're decent people (like us) they'll let the PES4-buyer copy the option file for free.

All PES4 option files can be found in the File Downloads section. There is one option file already there with all names corrected but the kits are not yet done. Great file by Scorpio.

bpd1301, I'm not sure if that will work but someone else like ashmufc might be able to help find a way. The easiest way is to just use an x-port or a max drive to transfer the downloaded option file to your memory card.

Seems like a max drive is the better option but there are a few risks, as posted in the other thread. The transfer process is quite easy and after a couple of attempts, you will have no probs.

all they would be doing is showing people what can be done with a bit of hard work and a few good web sites,, who buys fifa anyhow old folk and famlies for the little kid at xmas, real gamers run like hell from it ,, yes folks this years xmas installment of fifa is on its way

Yeah but with it not being patched u won't be able to make it look as good as fifa shame u can't get away with giving them a patched version. Thing is FIFA have the advantage because there game came out first, so if somone buys that and enjoys it if they liked the game they wouldn't have any reason to buy pes4, unless they could afford to buy alot of games, which alot of people don't do due to bills and more important stuff.

they would have to put some sort of sign up saying that what you are seeing on screen is what can be achieved using X-Port/Editing if they didn't it would be false advertising

Don't worry about it too much Giggsy. We know you're concerned about the sales of your precious fifa games. You say you like both games but you're so biased towards fifa it's unbelievable. I'd appreciate it if you didn't have to spam every other thread with the word "fifa" and let us get on with enjoying PES4 and sharing the enjoyment with others.

And PES4 looks great so stop saying it can't look as good as fifa. PES4 is the brunette babe with loads of potential. fifa is a ditzy chav blonde with all the expensive clothing....
