I use same camera as during normal play (wide). This way i'm getting same expirience I'd get during normal match, and it's something I'm used to. You can either set focus to ball and use AutoMove function (hold button you normally use for player switching) when camera is not showing you, or center it on player and track ball position on radar (that is what actually I do). I play PES since 98 and it's hard for me to get used to another cam :)

I've been using the normal mode along with the wide mode during the game with the focus on the ball. I found it much easier to move around and see the field. When I'm not on or around the ball, I just use the radar to track my position on the field.

yea i use normal wide and use the radar whenever im out of position etc
it helps when trying to beat the offside trap too. i couldnt get used to the vertical angle, i find the way the angle starts to change when your near the opp penalty box annoying!

I'm using normal, wide, tracking ball and using the radar too. I loved the player CAM on Fantasista, but I was finding BAL way too hard when using that cam, so I had to switch it. If/when I get better at BAL, I'll definitely be going back and playing again with player cam. It's so much more rewarding and realistic. Couldn't get the hang of the vertical cam (the dynamic one they suggest is best in-game), but I may give it another go.

I used to play with normal game cam with focus on the ball.

My legend is a striker and i wasn´t getting many shots on goal and had a hard time to get my team mates to pass to me.

So i switched to Vertical with focus on the ball, and i have to say it COMPLETELY changed my game experience, I´m getting 7 or 8 shoots on goal each game, and i almost never use the "call for the ball" option because it´s so easy to make a run to empty space and my team mates just make the obvious choice of passing to me! Moreover it´s easier to see where you want to shoot, because you can see the whole goal :)

Normal wide I would suggest, it let's you see enough players to allow you to pass timely and accurately whereas closer cams give you lesser time to react when a player comes charging at you from off the cam view

I use normal wide too, its annoying when using the default 'BaL' camera when you double tap forward to get that speed boost, but instead of knocking the ball forward a little, you start running in a different direction and let the whole team down. and as everyone else has said just keep a close eye on the radar when you do not have the ball.

Ok I seem to be going against the flow here but I play on player camera and use the radar to check where others are. It does take a long while to get used to where you are on the pitch and get used to making good runs and getting involved with play. Its hard at first but now that I am used to it I think its the best way to play on Become a Legend as you actually feel that its you who is playing the game so you make your player react more like you would in a game. I certainly get the most out of it that way at least. I mean when your on bench then normal long is the best to watch the match go by and speed it up to 2x! Though when playing my advice is player cam!

Is player cam the one you start as by default when you first play BAL? I found it too hard because of the sharp 90 degree angle camera turns it did, really confusing.

I use normal long. I found it the best. You can score more, and since it's from far out, you can see half the pitch easily.
