Can anyone suggest the best PS2 mod chip?

I'd like to mod my PS2 so I can patch WE7:IJ. Looking around the internet there are several different mod chips that seem like they're worth purchasing, but not knowing anything about them I figure I'd ask the good folks here their opinion of what the best one is.

I got mine chipped at www.thebarras.co.uk , it cost £99 although he is doing an offer for £14 off at the moment. I think he uses the Matrix2 chip, I have had no problems with mine, infact it's the best thing I have ever done to my PS2 !!!!! He used to use the Messiah 2 chip but he reckons the quality of thet one has gone downhill so has started using the Matrix.

Playing patched PES is the ultimate for me, although being able to play copied/imported games & dvd's is also a bonus !!!! :D

i'm sure there is. i haven't looked really hard just because i prefer word of mouth as recommendation.

however the first searches simply show places that you can buy the chip, they don't offer installation

I don't know which ones do what though...maybe someone else can tell you.

Edit: If you click in the links it gives you a lot of detail and tells you what each one does. Some are around £20...so whoever paid £99 has been well and truly done :eek:

Another edit: There's one that's down from £29.95 to only £6.95 that let's you play copies and imports.
