Can Someone Help With Free Kick Curling

I can't seem to get enough curl on the ball to pass the last challenge training section. I'm holding down the direction I want to curl the ball in, but it never hits the target or goes straight into the wall, and this is after lining up my kick and deciding whether or not to hold up or down for more or less power. Can anyone help with this? Thanks!

if you want a slow curling shot.. try holding Down and left or right (depending on what side the free kicker takes the shot on ). it curls quite a bit.. Very good for close range FK's around the 18yard box.

Its not that hard you just have to hold your direction, works all the time.
Speaking of Curling the ball, I just scored a belter past my bro! Volley from outside the area and it curled like a beast! bar and in.

Thanks everyone, I've been able to curl it a bit now, I think its just a matter of practice and that the last challenge training bit is really tough.

what range are you shooting from? if it's around 20 yards i doubt you'd get a lot of curl unless you hold down and left or right. If it's further out (around 30yards) you will get a lot of curl using UP + L/R.

if u wan to use a r.carlos blistering freekick.. u will need the freekick to be quite a bit of a distance from the goal to see the curve... as for beckham.. u probably need a shorter range.. maybe abt 25 yards or so,,,

You can also hold the Right analogue in the position you want the ball to curve, holding it down and to the side makes it slower and curl more, where as pushing it up seems to put the emphasis on power.

<22m: Pirlo, Del Piero... these sort of takers.
23m - 27m: Beckham, Zidane, Henry...
28>: Riise, Recoba, Mihajlovic...
