Nope... but you can just change the player cursor and then move him up in the direction where the ball is going to hit... and hopefully you get the ball first and then a goal. Just need a bit of practice executing them.

I think he means which defenders come up the pitch - and no, I don't think there's a way to decide, unfortunately.

I suppose you could go into formation settings before the kick and change all your CBs to CFs, but that's a bit excessive...

Yeah it does my head in when some crap defender goes up for a corner and he can't shoot on target for the life of him. I was hoping you would be able to change this but nevermind.

maybe if you change there attacking arrow, if it set they may be more inclinde to go fourward, thought it may allso depend on the attack stat of the player

Hmm... what I meant is that if you want to get a headed goal from corners you could just 'control' your player towards the ball instead of repeatedly tapping the X (shoot) button... Mendieta-type volley? that would be a real screamer if you can pull that off.... But it seems I misunderstood the original topic of this thread... well apologies for that

a Mendieta shouldn't be impossible, you'd need to drive it which is damn hard in the heat of a game - but if you scored it, oh boy that would be some goal

I have got it to drop to a player about 8 yards outside the box (try using the right analog stick to put extra curl away from goal) but he ends up spooning it each time.

I was winning a game last night 3-2 and the CPU got a corner in the last minute of the match. One of their forwards headed it in and in the replay I saw that their keeper was lurking around ready for some action too.

I don't think you can control who goes up. Usually, one of your CBs will be up there. I think that if you change the kicker, you'll see different players in the middle.

When I have a corner on the right side I change my RWF with a CB and LWF with a tall Midfielder.. the LWF will be standing at the 1st post the RWF at the 2nd post en the CF more at penalty spot.. Now I have Djibril Cisse and Adriano so I dont need to change this anymore.

I've scored a Mendieta goal with Puyol in a match on 6*. I've got it saved on my memory card, i'll try and get it on the site somehow. Its not exactly like Mendieta's, the cross comes in but their defence clears it to about 25m and Puyol belts it first time on the volley.

i often score from corners, if im playing with a club side im always lpool and big sami often pops up and scores, if im national team im usually england and campbell & ferdinand often score too, so im quite happy with big dopey defenders going up for corners
