I've heard of a lot of people complain about this, so I always expect goals but I haven't seen one in about 50 games.

The AI does cheat no matter what everyone says, the problem is that the AI has perfect timed execution and angle EVERY time, they should have at least some sort of error proneness just like players do in real life, otherwise football would be played by robots.
And no im not in 17th place im half season trough and im 1st so no point calling me unskilled either, its just that the AI does have perfect execution and timing everytime which is a bit unrealistic and most of the times its that stupid speed burst which makes them accelerate really fast and if their execution and timing is perfect he will always go past you. The only thing you can do is use 2 defenders but you can't just put 2 defenders on every AI player its stupid, that rarely happens in real life maybe on Messi or someone but not on every god damn average player.

Hey superstar, by any chance are you playing ML and with default Pes line up to brag about? It is a drastic difference. I am sitting on the last place in ML after half season and not sure I can make 5 home wins. I started with professional. At the same time i won champions league on Professional. ML is somewhat messed up. I am sure it is way too hard in the beginning and is going to be too easy (on the same level) if you survive.
Agree Mystery Man. Personally up to 10th now, but the feeling that games are scripted is beginning to overwhelm me. Listen, I think it is possible to win against the CPU on Top Player, like many have said on here, the trouble is you have to play a certain way against every team. That is retreat, retreat, retreat, to the eighteen yard box and basically prey to God that their attack peters out.
Professional is more balanced in terms of fairness, but I'm getting 70 per cent plus possession, whereas Top Player cheats like hell and forces you to defend a certain way but is more rewarding because I get less possession.

Err, I'm no Superstar. I originally stated that I was 17th on Top Player using Liverpool players. I'm not on here to brag about anything. Professional is too easy, Top Player is too AI cheat orientated - did you even read my original post.
I'm not here to discuss why I'm the best PES god ever (or not) I was giving an opinion as to what I believe are the plus points and negatives about the game.
the ai clearly cheats as when a team is winning one-nil they miss the easiest of chances like open nets or blaze one on ones wide but when they are losing they normally put them away - looking at this it is obvious it cheats. also say in a match i lose agianst the cpu as they scored in the last min from a stupid corner like always, i go on display stats and i have way more possession and shots whilst the computer has ike 1 shot on target which is so bizarre to happen unless the bloody damn ai cheats
Common I did not mean to offend you. I am serious. I want to beat cpu in ML on professional and so far I cant. I still did not understand if you win on professional in ML (with crappy Pes linup) or with a developed team and how you do that. Anyone doing well the first season in ML on a lavel higher then regular and with Pes team where average skill is about 60?

I doubt you're alone in sucking. I'm in 16th, and only because I've simmed a few games that I've won…and I'd consider myself a grizzled PES veteran.
Just do whatever you can to get Ettori the ball at the top of the box, try and keep Shimizu involved (I'd imagine everyone starts out with the same youth team players), and keep plugging away at your first major signing. You'll turn the tides eventually.
I started ML with the classic (how dare you call it crappy) lineup and Top Player difficulty and I got destroyed. After a few games I toned it down to Professional and I stopped losing all the time, probably because defending became a whole lot easier.
The biggest problem for me was scoring goals and the solution I found was buying a couple decent midfielders (O'Hara and Digard are the ones I was able to get) and shooting from outside the box a lot. I know this isn't solid strategy, but it was reasonably reliable for me because players tend to be unrealistically accurate if they have enough room to take their shot, even if their stats are below-average.
I also play 5 minute games so I can play possession and hold on to the ball if I score a goal. I think I never lost the lead in a game, except when Messi scored 3 goals in 10 minutes and took my team out of the Spanish Cup. The biggest downside to this is of course that if the AI scores the first goal you're pretty much screwed.

great review techboy11 can you or anybody else tell me why passing is so weak ,lob through balls so weak . i play on -2 speed, top player,semi assist the passing is just so weak just no power in them.
Quite simply mate because everything is slowed down -2, players running, passing, shooting.
What camera do you use?
I find that if I play with pitchside camera on -2, the game is sluggish. If you play on Long Cam -2, then the game feels fine. Could be the perception of being closer?!?
What were KONAMI thinking though, the default is insane with any angle you choose?
