cannot start the game

I cannot launch the game at all :
after the autorun, I get the menu and when I choose play I get a black screen and then nothing
(I can't even close it without ctrl-alt-del)

does anybody know what to do?

NB: I've downloaded already the universal PES patch and the latest version of the GeForce driver

Simply answer to your question isn't possible, coz can be 1000 reasons, why game freeze, coz practicaly don't exist 2 peoples with exactly the same configuration = thats the reason why PS2 is better choice

Theres a patch out for the game. Download it and apply it and it should work fine.

I've got exactly the same problem and I've seen on other forums other people who can't start the game. My specs are also good enough and furthermore my games not fucked cos its working on a mates comp. Its well strange. I've tried everything I can think of and its still not working. Whats more the demo worked fine for me but the real game isn't. Its all properly strange - if anyones got any ideas, please tell me, I'm getting pretty pissed off.

I HAVE A SOLUTION:
I can now start the game but the graphics are blinking and sucky.Here's how you do:
-Go to your PES 3 directory
-Open "dat." folder
-You should find "cafe"
-Copy it and rename the copy, and finaly put the copy in any folder but this one
-Delete the original (yes,yes)
now it should work better

I removed CAFE file, but now there is a new problem (NB: my game is bought , not copied):
When the game starts I hear the sounds and everything behind the screen, but the welcome screen is stuck and blinking all the time and does not go away.
Anybody has a solution?
