any ideas im on xp wiv sp2 and avg and zone alarm any ideas?

You should forward the port 5730 if I remember correctly. I think It's not possible if you have the free version of Zone Alarm. Try Kerio Personal firewall instead.

diable zone alarm and any other firewalls and anitvirus except the xp one. Make sure you allow pes5 as an exception in your windows firewall.

Are you behind a router, if so you need to forward udp port5730 in your router settings. www.portforward.com if you have problems. You wil laso have to turn on DMZ if you have the option in yor router. Shoudl connect then, but it may not. I cant play with my router as it is crap so I have to play with orginal modem, which means wires all over the place ;o(

I also run AVG and Zone Alarm. All I had to do was allow pes5 to connect to and to accept connections from the internet when the zone alarm bubbles appeared. There's no need to disable zone alarm, and just make sure that windows firewall is switched off.
I imagine the problem you have, as mentioned above, is to do with a router.

assign your ip address to the port 5730 in router settings and also look for an option to allow dmz, this just sort of opens up your internet connection to use the ISS pro server, it took me a bit of fiddling to finally get online play but it is worth, had a 1-1 draw as my first attempt, so im unbeaten!!! lol
