Captain Question

Quick question: Does it matter who you choose as captain for the game? If so, why and how?

I don't think so. Though the computer will choose automatically the player with the highest mentality as the captain.

In my experience, the captain is chosen by position. So if Fabregas is captain in the cmf and I switch him with ramsey in the line up prior to kick off, ramsey then becomes captain.

Then i guess the question is, what does player mentality do?

Does Ramsey has the highest mentality on your starting lineup?
I have Casillas as my captain. If I substituted him, Xabi Alonso would be chosen as the captain because he had the highest mentality. Or, if I had Lass (higher mentality than Alonso), he would be chosen as the captain instead.

Mentality indicates a player's commitment and drive. When his Stamina level is depleted, a player with a high Mentality level will be much more likely to maintain his general level of dedication that a similarly exhausted player with low Mentality rating. The overall impact of stamina loss on abilities is also reduced.

thanks. i will look into that. its weird that captaincy never switches automatically. ramsey is young and has low mentality compared to gallas almunia etc. nevertheless because he is in the same position as fabregas he gets the armband automatically unless i change it.

Im fairly sure seabass said its just there, theres no use or meaning to it but people would moan if it wasnt, and as far as i know its postion based, like swap fabregas for ramsey and ramsey will get it, stick nasri there hell get it etc...
