Hmm........ My PS2 just doesn't seem interested. I burned the image exactly on the tutorial, including the dummy "12345" in notepad, IBA 30000, and when I boot the CD up, it goes black for about 15 seconds and then displays "Please Insert a Playstation or Playstation 1 format disc". Anyone got any ideas?!

Right, after playing around with it I finally got it working. I decided to change the 'NTSC' to 'PAL' and it seemed to have worked. Whether this was an obvious thing to do at the start, I don't know. But very pleased I have this working.

ok, i'm a new b to the cd format option files, and i read this thread and i could not find the proper tutorial...the tutorial at the beginning tells you how to create an npo file, etc, etc...here is my deal...nowadays most patches come with a cd option file,well, using cdgenps2, how do i create an image from the .bin and .cue file? for example, the WE90 patch comes with an option file containing a cue file and a bin file and it says to burn them to cd using cdgenps2....but how is this done? can someone help?does anyone have a tutorial for that?

Yes burn the option file to a CD-RW. Then use a program like BoxPlorer to copy the saved game across to your saved games on your Xbox Hardrive.

heh, burned the ioption file on the cd, all works fine untill i have to copy em, when i try to copy it just keeps saying - "Not a recognised ELF. ...."

Try reading it properly. Follow everything that you have to press. Sounds like you were pressing 'X' instead of 'Triangle'.

my ps2 can't read cd-r (the lense is starting to die i think), can i burn those files in a dvd instead ?

i load up the cd and i geta black screen with loads of writing on is this rite and how do i transfer the opion file over i used the WE9 kosos 0.5 option file bin/cue file

OK I Managed to put the option file from the hard drive to the memory card through hd advance.
1) You have to use Win Hiip to move the bin file on to your HDD as you would do with any game. save it as option
2)load up hd advance with the CD boot disc
3)use the convert option when you are asked fro the Game use a slide tool to pop the tray and place the cd option drive in the tray and cloe it. then press cancel.
4)Load up the "opiton" that u loaded through win hiip.
5)Once you are in to the utiltiy go about it just lyk the original guide says except u must aslo copy the dummy file to the hard drive.
