CD2mem - How to put option files onto CDR

Burnt Bin/Cue files using Nero onto cdr and loaded with swap magic cd loader but didn't load any other way to convert the files for .max?

Just find the max drive files for the relevent Option File.

has anyone without a HDD got this procedure to work cause on the tutorial, clearly the guy has a HDD. If someone has got it to work without the HDD, how was it done??? thanks

Nope, he hasn't got a HDD. The grey menu you see, is the menu that comes up when you load the disc in the PS2.

To burn Fernando's English Translation (.ppf) into a cd, and then pass to the PS2, how can I do that??
The PS2 Save Builder does not recognize it!
OR
Is there anyway that I can put the direct translation file (.ppf) in the WE9 ISO file?? And were shuld I put it if its possible??

Only option files can be burnt to disk using the information in this thread.

Patches need to be applied to the game iso using the patching guide (one method for dvd and another method - cdripkit for CD). Go and read the patching guide.

Most PS2s do not read RW disks.

If you don't want to waste disks then buy a Max Drive.

U dont have to, just put as many optuion files u can fit onto 1 CD, and trust me u can put hundreds, and then in the psmenu just select which option file u want. Easy

Yeah but surely you would only want to put on the latest option file onto a CD anyway? What he wants to do is use a re-writable so he can keep updating the disk with new files.

Ok ok, I was looking at the guide, but I stil lhave no clue which file I need to use. I have pro 5 option file on cd, so if someone could explain which file i have to look for it would be much appreciated.

hi everyone... when i try to load the ps2 with my cd-r in it it goes to a black screen which says

and then it just sits there.. any ideas?

i have transferred the pro evo 5 option file onto cd.it loads up and extracts.But when i load up pro evo 5 it says the memory file is corrupted...ive done it twice with both the xport and maxdrive files....any 1 else have this problem.I have used this technique before with pro evo 4 and no problems.Note i also never put dummy file onto the cd.....any help appreciated

Hi. Wrong place to ask this which is why it wasn't answered quicker.

Max Drive works on ALL PS2s, no need for chip.
If you want to play a patched game, yes you need to chip or mod the ps2.
