CD2mem - How to put option files onto CDR

One last question if I may.. As far as I can see from the screenshots, the files are called stuff like 3278327.npo etc. which makes it hard to know which file is for which game. Can't I call them e.g. soul calibur 3.npo or should I just use other solutions like putting the names in a notepad file to remember them?

No clue, I use max drive and x-port transfers. Try changing the name and see what happens.

I tried transferring option files for the following games:

- Soul Calibur 3
- Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks
- a third game i can't remember

How ever the memory card refer to the data as corrupt, and so do the games. Can anyone help please?

Never mind, problem solved.. (seems like the soul calibur 3 data is still corrupt though )

This method used to work perfectly for me, now whenever i get to the point of fixing the .lba and making the dummy file it doesnt work properly i dont think..

I don't really understand what you mean exactly.. When I burned the cd, i simply put the files in the order the guide tells you to, then at last i made a dummy file and gave it lba 30000 and burned. Cd works fine, but saves may some times be corrupt.

well it tells you to correct the lba file or something and it used to work perfect for me all the time, now it doesnt...

m9 works perfectly, but when i copy the option file to my mem card, the option file on the mem card comes up as corrupted data, any1 got a sollution? and another thing,what is a DUMMY file and how do you make it?

Does CD-RW work intsead of CD-R ?

I did all the things in the guide including making the dummy file. i burnt onto CD-RW and when i put it into PS2 (chipped) it says "Please wait...", "Reset IOP", "wait for IOP sync" and a list of many other things in command prompt style that it says are loading. Is this suppose to happen? should i let it load?

I didnt have my memory card in wen i did that because i wanted to make sure it will work i dont want to end up with a corrupted option file!

i've started just downloading the bin/cue versions coz whenever I tried to fix the lba or create a dummy it wasnt the same effect as shown in the pictures...and it never seemed to work.

will it work without the dummy file...the bin/cue version of option files dont have a dummy file in it...so maybe making a dummy file is pointless?

Anyone help me, i've read this post several times and i'm still havin the same problem, i've downloaded KM mix option file 1.2 and burnt the cue and bin onto cd using nero, but when i put the cd into my playstation all i get is

Welcome to PS2menu v2.6b
please wait..
then it lists everything thats loadin, however it jus stays on this screen and doesn't actually load up

a few people have mentioned this in this thread but all they have recieved is childish remarks, can anyone help with this problem without bein sarcastic?

i need some advice here,

so, this is the first time made by myself and i need some advice here..

1. download *.xps file and xtract it with winrar

2. open PS2 Save Builder V0.8 and save as BESLES-54203PES6OPT.npo

3. making image.. save as SYSTEM.CNF

BOOT2 = cdrom0:\PS2MENU.ELF;1
VER = 1.10
VMODE = NTSC

4. made dummy file, open notepad and type 1234 and save as DUMMY

5.open cdgen2, and drag SYSTEM.INF, DUMMY, BESLES-54203PES6OPT.npo. PS2MENU.ELF

OK here i got,

6. then save image file example.bin

question here, what the LBA SYSTEM.INF and PS2MENU.ELF ??

burn with low speed with nero, then when uploading the image on my ps2.. no such thing appear, just logo only
