Champions League Groups

I'm on my 8th season with Chelsea. I've participated on 7 Champions Leagues and won 2, and I've always gotten the same groups in the group stages, with minor differences each season.
Liverpool always get teamed up with Barcelona, and Manchester United ALWAYS gets Real Madrid.
I've never had no "top" team in my group though, which is really boring! I always seem to get Benfica, Besiktas, Shaktar Donetsk, PSV and on rare occasions Olympique Lyonnais. I usually past this stage so easily, most of the times with 18 points.. I want to get Inter or Barcelona or something good just to make things fun!

Do this happen to any of you?

I nearly always get a team from my own league, whether in ML or BAL, which annoys me to death. Konami really needs to fix it for accuracy's sake.

My group alway seems to consist of Besiktas, Porto and one other team. Last season it was AZ but at least this time it's Man Utd.

No way around it. It's abit of a game ruiner but you've just gotta play on. Can only hope Konami can resolve it with a patch or something along those lines.

Oh, yeah I thought somebody would've posted about this already but I didn't looked enough hehe.

Also most of the times on my ML there's 5 teams from the Premier League in the group stages. :/

Funny you should mention that, I started one with Feynoord and out of curiosity I checked which teams were in the CL but to my amazment, there was none :erm: but then I checked the EL and 5 Teams were in that, PSV, AJAX, HEEREVEEN, GROINGNEN AND AZ, but when I looked in League Standings I seen two Campions League spaces and 2/3 Europa League spaces available, weird. Maybe no team won the league or came second before I started lol!

This I've noticed also. Now in the premier league there are 4 champions league spots. Top 3 automatic and #4 play a 2 legged qualifier. Yet for some reason the 5th place side also get a CL qualifiying game also. For 2 years now Real Madrid have finished 5th but made it too the late stages of the CL. They shouldn't even be there. They finished in a Europa League spot. It's the same for the sides finishing 5th prior to them. Can't understand Konami's thinking on this.

Iam too only the good team in my group is Barcalona and the other banfica , Shaktar Donetsk maybe the problem in chelsea bec. my ML game also with chelsea
