No lol, I meant I can't get into the game like I could with 03/04 . It's just a lot more long winded to do stuff this time round and I have to find lots of hot talent all over again seeing as they've made players that were good shite

I HATE when that happens. I had a 5 season game with chelsea in 02/03 and lost it all because my save file got corrupted :(.
Is Pazzini still uber expensive though?
SIDENOTE: Where the hell do they get their stats from? In 03/04 Pazzini had finishing 20, heading 20, long shots 18, pace 20, acceleration 20, dribbling 19. All at the tender age of 20. Now surely if he was that good some team would have come in and bought him in real life by now? All hail Eidos, kings of all bullshit :D

K, I just started my season with Man Utd and the settings were England selected as the only country with the lowest active league as Division 2. I'm guessing I can't buy players outside of england, right? What are you peeps's settings? It took about 5 mins to set up the campaign because I have a 500mhz processor, lol. I was given only £5 million as a transfer budget, WTF! My first game was a friendly against Aberdeen and virtually all players lacked Match Practice. The final score was a dissapointing 2-0 defeat to Aberdeen!! It was an evenly matched game with both sides having several chances. However, the second goal was outrageous. One of their strikers and broken loose from about 45 yards to goal. Howard rushed out and their striker "audaciously" chipped the ball FROM 40 YARDS!!!!WTF!!!!! BTW i asked Carlos Queiroz to pick the team. I don't know what I'm gonna do though I haven't started training yet. I'm very impressed with FM.

ive been playin the football manager demo, and its impressive im boro' and stewart downing is the man! man of the match like all the time. but i do have a couple of problems, the gap between 4th place and 3rd place is unreal im 4th and i got beat by 2nd place arsenal 5-0 despite being 5 pts behind. i was also 4-1 v villa(shit) and lost 5-4 despite them having no shots on goal in the first half, their goal was an own goal but other than that very good, i bought steve sidwell and this player from wolves called thomas bonnar (i always look out for youth players at wolves and ive never heard of him?!?!?) but hes a good player.

I'm a big fan of the Championship Manager series and I was wondering if this latest game is worth getting? I really liked Champ Manager 99/00, 00/01 and 01/02. I got really annoyed by Champ Manager 4. It just took too long to get through a match and never mind how long it took me to get through a season. I really liked the ones that came before 4 because I could just zoom through a match and I could complete a season in under 2 hours of play.

Can anyone tell me what the new Football Manager 2005 is like? Is it a lot like 4 and 03/04 or is it like champ manager 01/02?

Match-play wise it's simaler to CM 03/04.....

At the minute I'm still using the demo  , you get 6 months through a season and then it saves and thats the end of the demo...but you can carry it on with the proper game once you buy it...which I plan to do on christmas day when I carry on my Arsenal unbeaten run of 24 games, won 23 drawn 1 against liverpool...First time i've done something relativly decent on a management game.

Well I was reading this thread and decided to get the demo. After about oh 20 minutes I found a way to finally get the language to english. Now my problem is this... I got the quickstart pack from Sigames.com or net or whatever but I am not sure where to put the divisions at so it works. Any ideas people. PLEASE???

sigames has a nice forum as well

as for gameplay being like the demo
the full game, with the latest patch, is much harder than the demo and harder than 03/04, well unless you are really good and have a deep team

i've been manu in my second season this year, halfway through and havnt lost a game yet
