if i am correct he is not in Cm03/04 due to licensing reasons... or something lame like that... but i heard a few days ago that Football Manager 2005 will have the MLS in it...

what size database are u playing?? because he may not be there because of that... i am playing a small databse.. but i am playing the brazilian league.. because of all the stars that come rather cheaply...

thats a shame championship manager is the greatest football game of all time!! i know this is a proevo website but lets be honest you know its a great game when they started selling it with booze last xmas in woolys

Heh how little you guys know, Football Manager is Championship Manager with a different name don't cry about it - It's the same company (SI) but they've parted with Eidos who have the rights to the name so they're carrying on the series under a different one. Championship Manager 04/05 will still come out but it wont be made by the same people as Eidos have hired some new guys - I'll be buying FM though for sure

you can hardly call it the same game.. it looks different.. uses a different match engine... it is quite different...

CM4 uses a different match engine to CM3...what's your point?

For all intents and purposes it will be CM5, the only thing is that it has to look totally different to the CM series because Eidos hold all the licenses for that. All the coding for the game belongs to SI so they can choose to use as much or as little of it as they want, just as they would if they were making another CM.

all i am saying is that it will be too different to call FM and CM the same game... especially when there will be another CM on the market...

But the new CM will be CM in looks only, it will be a brand new game underneath.

The core of FM will be like CM, in fact they could use exactly the same game but with different graphics if they so choose...they only things that will change are things that SI will want to change, so basically things they would have changed for CM5 anyway.

Ni, I hold SI in higher esteem than that. I give them more credit. FM05 will be the shiznit, now that they are free of the self-admitted lousy interface, and poor legacy coding left over from CM3-engine series.

FM'05 is going to kick so much arse based off what we've all heard and seen thus far.

In saying that though, don't write off the new internal (ie, an Eidos team - and no snide remarks about Tomb Raider need apply) team behind CM. As mentioned above, it will basically be a new game. The problem is that that entails the fact that they have to now do all the research of every player in the world by themselves, all over again. They will also have to write a database for this new research, etc etc.

An absoloutely mammoth task by anyone's standards.

But if both games are good, and different enough from one another, then I'm sure I can find room for them both on my HDD .

who where u and who were u playing?? my best win was in the group stages of the CL with Man Utd in my first season.. against dortmund... i won 10 - 1 and amoruso got 6 goals!
