Change attack/defense levels xbox360 joystick on PC

I'm using an xbox360 joypad for windows, and I can't seem to change the attack/defense level no matter what buttons or combinations I try. Its supposed to be L2 + R1/R2 right? same as pro evo 2008 and 2009 on PS3. But no combinations of anything work at all on PC with that joypad on Pro Evo 2011.

Is there a way to do this?
I've tried changing from directx to xineput in the settings app, no difference.
