Hey all,
I have decided to get into patching as i have been using photoshop for a few years and would be able to create some realistic kits/ads etc etc

I am looking for a method to be able to play copied games, basically I want something that is cheap and easy. What are my options? cheers.

I also only have a CD-R not a DVD burner, is this a problem? thanks.

Check jag87's sticky thread which explains all the method of playing patched/imported games, such as
Slide Card, Flip Top Lid and Knife Trick as well as chips.

You don't need a DVD burner. Just check out larsson's patching guide to see what you do need. All the info is already there, mostly in the sticky threads. Good luck with the patching.

oh and one more question, I noticed on patched screenshots, players faces look better. Am I imagining this or canthey also be edited?

would it be possible to take a photo of a face and add it to a player using photoshop?

just thinking ahead here =)

No worries mate.
Yes, you are imagining seeing different faces :)
The only ones that needed changing were probably done using the in-game Edit mode.

I don't think anyone's inserted new faces yet but it should be possible in theory.

That would be a fun thing to do, add your own face.
I was also wondering, how can you compress the 2 gig dvd to fit on a CD (700mb) without loss of quality, or is there and loss of quality?

cheers mate

You can put some ''things'' out for example the differnent languages which take a lot of space.

wait till the keeper is off his line... then lean back a little and strike the ball low in a sweeping motion. The ball should lift up over the keeper and, with the backspin, gently land and roll in to the net. ;)

Thank you and goodbye.

Some people and their time of the month hey......

maybe he misread the thread as "chip *on your shoulder* advice"

or maybe he was angry over vietnam's draw for wc2006.
