Chipping a PS2

Where would I get a chip (with instructions) for a PS2 so that I can stick it in myself?

Andd yes, I'm aware that it isn't simply a case of 'plug-and-play' I know what I'm doing.. just not sure where to get the chip itself from?

What a help.. But honestly.. how are we supposed to play the patched games without a chipped PS2?

I just need to know a place that sells the Messiah Pro 2 1.30 or whatever the new one is..

Chips are illegal now and could get you into some trouble. The slidecard is the best alternative or fliptop lid, both would require ''Swap Magic Discs'' , which are basic boot-up CD's that all you to play copied games.

Did you expect 20 answers within an hour on a Friday Night ?
Try www.gametop.de, they sell chips for 20-30 Euro and they should ship also to the UK. They don´t have the Messiah though, but other good ones. I have one from there myself and I´m happy with it.

If you know nothing about soldering, dont attempt it!

Best chip to get is th Matrix Infinity, and then the DMS3 after that.

the chips are available in "trashy" Hardware shops .
And about the "instructions" you must find em at internet.
But this is not like open ps2, get chip and insert it onto anything...nonono

You need lotta informatic hardware knowledge and a micro soldering iron, cos the chip got like 8/9 arms .. and each one of em must be linked to diferent places(chips) of the ps2, anyways its not as easy as it was on the PS1 .
But if you can manage it it works 100%

Anyways fcuk the law u aint getting into trouble but save your wallet a bit.
