hi there. i just want clarity on something. one of my mates was saying that the new pro evo will be exactly the same for the current gen as it is for the next gen.is this true. no improved graphics and gameplay for next gen? coz then whats the point of getting it for 360.rather just stick with ps2.also i was told on x360 you wont be able to tweak the game with an option file like you could on ps2
comments anyone?

I think there won't be a difference in gameplay between both the two generations. However, there may be a slight advantage in graphics to the next generation. I think that it is better for you to stick to PS2, since firstly you already know everything about it, secondly it is better to wait and see how the game will be on Xbox 360. It depends on you..........

The videos I have seen so far for the xb360 are far better than what the PS2 can produce so I think you can safely assume that there will be better graphics, I recall seeing linesman which I do not think will be included in the PS2 version. I do not know about the tweaking but I do find it hard to believe as Konami are surely aware that their default stats and line ups are pretty bad. That said you can patch the xb360 so if it was the case that you could not edit the OF directly, you would be able to edit the text.afs and get upto date stats that way.

As far as the game it self, I think that they will be very similar only the xb360 version being more refined.

I have not got a 360, if I did I would definitely be getting it on that rather than the PS2 as you can guarantee that as a whole the gaming experience will only be better

Actually, the games on current and next-gen will differ in more then graphics. Konami have already stated that they will use the processor power of the 360 to improve the AI in various areas. Whilst this may not mean a completely different game, it should be an advancement on current-gen to justify the upgrade.

It's not quite quite the next-gen version we have been hoping for but what I would say is, if the PS2 has PES6, the 360 has PES6.5.

i totally agree with sum of you but i just feel that im so used to playing on ps2 im scared i wont enjoy the game as much. i mean pes was designed for a ps2 afterall! another factor im taking into account is that being the first in the series on the next gen the game wont be a "super improvement" just yet but maybe will be better off next year when programmers are more used to next gen technology.
