Matchday on the spectrum was my first footer game.

Sensible Soccer kicks the ass of any football game excluding Pro Evo.

If I cared a little more I'd dig out the old copies of Amiga Power I still have, and scan in the SWOS review. KO2 was the poor relation, SWOS ruled. I can't play it now though or I'd ruin the mental image I have of how good it was.

Very true. Ive tried that with other Amiga games i havent played for about 6 or 7 years, and it does ruin the memories. Sensi would probably feel really slow now.

SWOS is the only old skool game thats still keeping it real, so to speak, I played it at my mates on the SNES about a month ago and it's still a classic. Whatever you do don't play RoadRash though, I loved that game and when I got my Mega Drive out recently the game was poor, real poor, shameful even.

ISS64 (My jaw dropped when I first saw it)


Now I'm a PES and FIFA addict!

It's probable that you don't know this game but it's one of my favourites of all time.It was programmed by the Net Yaroze, a programmable playstation.It was very similar to Sensible Soccer but I liked it best, maybe because the controller of my Playstation was more easy to play with!!LOL
But anyway, if you don't know it, I think you should give it a try, it's an amazing game!

I cannot remember the game, but it was for the NES and it had a birds eye view for a camera angle, it was the first football game i played!!!

I also remember a game where the angle was long ways and a fat ref would walk over when you gave a foul and would chase you to give you a yellow card! that was my first footie game!

Yeh this game was for the Sega Magadrive, not the NES!
