Classic ML Team. (Advanced formation)

I beg your pardon?
Classic All-Star Team

Default Formation.
A 3-5-2 with a reinforced diamond. No.4 will watch the back door, and 3,6 and 2 will constantly stay guard over the box. If you are good at defending already, you should never concede a goal in open play. No.10 is the support man for the two strikers, although, 9 will be out and out striker, and 8 will be more of a support man. No.5 will be the sixpence, he must have superb passing ability, as he will initiate a lot of plays. No. 7 and 11 will provide width.

Formation A.
A few changes take place when you switch to A. 10 and 5 will line up together, while the wingers will push up and out. Works really well against another back 3. An attacking triangle is in the centre of midfield, with 8 dropping back to the edge of the box to help build plays, he has options wide and behind him in 10 and 5.

Formation B.
Very attacking change. The defence don't sit as deep so caution is needed when attacking. 5 drops back a little to help out 4, just incase, while 8 drops back into midfield, and the wingers push right up to a WF role. 10 should make runs into the box, while 8 will be the playmaker. This provides bodies forward for counter attacks, but may leave you exposed if you are attacking and lose the ball.

If you change formations at the right time and against the right teams (the oppositions formation can effect the way your team works), you can create serious damage with this team. It's risky if you are only of average ability, because mistakes can be very costly, but if you are a pro, you won't make mistakes and this setup will prove to be a lot of fun.

KEY PLAYERS.
You may not want to use these players I have suggested, but you will need a certain type of player in certain positions. I'll give you a brief run down of what to look for.

1. Obviously a great keeper.
3. 2. Top Class centre backs.
6. Sweeper. Needs to be real class.

4. Defensive midfielder. Never leaves this role.
5. CMF and OMF. Centre midfielder. Needs to defend aswell as attack. Attack is more important.
10. OMF. World class playmaker. Agression and passing is an advantage here.
7. 11. SMF and WF. Quick, skillfull wingers. Left and right.

9. CF. Out and out striker. Goal scoring is the key.
8. CF and OMF. Supporting striker, must be able to pass and shoot.

Great one as usual, jMz. I still have to try these.

I have one comment about the third formation (3*4*3) as I tried it before. it is very risky and I have tough time to move the ball from the back to the front. guess it should be one's last option especilly if you are down one and running out of time.

It is risky mate, but the alternates are only for a few minutes at a time, just to cause confusion in the other team. Try and put your strongest formation as default, then work round it with the players you have for the alternates. Not everything I post will work for you, I possibly have a different style. Keep trying allsorts though, you'll find the perfect one for you mate. And that's what it's all about. I want to get people using all aspects of the game, and this is really just a demo of what is possible.
