Collars drive me crazy

Hello,

I'm working on the kits of all 18 teams in the Belgium Jupiler League for PC
10 kits are finished, I only have to fix some collars.
There's a team named Lokeren with a special collar. So I searched for a team with a similar collar and I came up with Bologna. So imported that collar style with Waterloo's tool.
But now I struggling with the texturing of those collars in the template.
Which part are for where in the collar? What has to be transparant?
It's hard to find thiose things on my own without an example...
I already made Cercle Brugge, also a team with a collar, but for that type I had examples enough in kitserver that came with the Wolfpatch.
For Bologna there are no bmp's in the unit125 folder... I guess they are in o_text.asf. I tried to find that kit via Graphic Studio or AFS explorer to see how it's done (textured) but I don't know how.

For example...
When I have to find the homekit for team 125 (Bologna) is the bin file than uni125pa.bin? I can find that bin, but I dont see a bmp?
I'm a real rookie in this so all the help, tutorials or tips are welcome

The only thing I did was texturing the templates and I loved it, but handling those AFS and bin files are new for me.

Please help

use graphic studio to view the bmps in the bins
and seville GK is probably closer, just make the transparent area narrower on the collar then make the black triangle on the front off the kit.
for Brugge you need to add the small stripes to the collar area too.
Can we see some more of your kits then?

Thx, but the problem is that I don't see any bitmap. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah, the sevilla GK collar is closer, thx for the tip.

For Brugge I don't see the stripes on the collar on reallife pics, but I have found only one picture of the 2th kit of Cercle Brugge. Or are you talking about Club Brugge?

Yes, but I rather release them when they are completly finished. (when colllars are fixed)

But I can show you some previews

you need the latest version of graphic studio 050510 or similar

in the pic you posted the part where the collar joins the front is greener than the front area and I would have thought the stripes that go through the badge carry on up to the collar?
looks good so far
to do a nice black, do the base 30,30,30 then add the template over the top in 3 layers, multiply 100%, overlay 70% and then the final overall the kit multiply.

PS Northern Ireland use Umbro kits now, and for the nike kit, have a look at Southend on my site

Thx, I can see them now with that last version.
Now , how can I iimport my own bmp's into the afs?
I see an option when I rightclick the bin "import a file over this one", but then a window shows up to browse for bin files. But I have a bmp, not a bin, do I have to convert that bmp into a bin or so?

For the black, I know some are over-saturated in the previews, but that's fixed by now. I've used another technic (dunno it's better, gonna try it your way):

- I select the part in the template that need te be black and I copy that part into a new layer (layer1), blending mode multiply 80%
- I keep the selection and I create a new layer (layer2)and I fill it with black , and I drag it under layer 1
- Then I multiply layer2 (so layer3 is created) , blending mode multiply 100% and then I play with the input levels of layer3. Like 90 - 1,00 - 255

Yes, you are right about Brugge, I 'll have to fix that.

Is it possible to have a sponsor on the lower part of the back.
It seems like the backnumber is always too big and too low and there is no place left for a logo on the lower back...
So I need a stye : No backname and the backnumber positioned a little higher than normal.

Anyone? :)

hello,

How can I do this type of collar?

I've used 3d model style 16 (like Herenveen)for it, I wonder if someone knows a better style to create this type of collar.

here is what I got till now. (edit : link removed)

How can I make the shape more open and smoother?

**EDIT**

Ok, I've found a much better one. The collar style 26 (Leece style) is pretty close. Here's a sample.
As you can see I've chosen a pink colour for the transparent area, the problem is that I don't wanna see that. (that's the purpose of transparancy no?)
Is it true that this does only happen when the transparant contains a diagonal line? Is there a way to make this smoother?

well, this is a bit like magic so concentrate
AFTER you select the pink area and set the transparency to 0%, click on the RGB sliders to make it the same colour as the parts it touches.

wonderfull! Thx!

**EDIT**

Easy stuff. Just write the RGB values down somewhere before you open your BMP in graphic studio and use those values and the colours are completely the same. :)
