My favourite commentary gem so far is Mark Lawrenson saying " The Chinese football team failed to deal with that cross, I know they have slanty eyes, but surely they saw that! " It was laugh out loud funny!!

Yes, old 'wet fish' Lawro's commentating is truelly awful. So bad, its funny! You can just tell he has no idea how crap and amatuar he sounds, or knows anything about games and how obvious it is that he is just reading words on paper like a robot.

They should get Jim Beglin from ITV to do the analyst job. He's just about the only one I can stand and isn't really that biased towards anyone.

He also talks sense most of the time, which should be read "Isn't David Pleat".

Jacqui Oats or whatever her name is can do the main commenatary...:unsure:

Mark Lorrenson is non existant. Ive heard bourbon biscuits come out with better comments. It actually sounds like he is just reading lines not like hes in the game.Stops me getting emmersed

Mark lawrenson stops you getting emmersed, i dont know why i find that funny. I know what you mean though. I just think the commentators are good as a bit of background noise to make it more realistic, it doesn't really matter what they say apart from when they make you feel sick. Some comments on previous pro games have pushed me over the edge and therefore made me spend money replacing consoles and pads. For example when you are losing a crucial game and the commentator makes what i perceive as a smug remark i do lose it big style. They probably just said something along the lines of the home team are struggling or something like that but i take it personal lol.

John Motson and Chris Waddle are the best. My first computer game was World Cup 98 and it had better commentary than anything PES has come out with in recent years.

I swear the commentators kick you when you're down. :lol: I remember I was losing 1-0 the other day and took a free-kick which went a little over the bar, and there was a distinct silence for about 3 seconds. Then low and behold Mark Lawrenson comes out and says "embarressing". :lol: I felt like crying.

lool i swear on pes 2008, or maybe fifa 08 i cant remember which, what ever team your playing with the commentator always says 'maybe they can set up rooney'

i hate it when you take a freekick that just shaves the post, literally grazing it, and lawro says 'well if he cant score from that range then he shouldnt be taking freekicks' or something along those lines.
