Always though Pirlo was badly represented in PES, and as he's in my Master Leauge Team he'd be very good!

hmmm. I wonder how much of Shaun Wright Phillips you have seen. If you have watched him since his city days then I would have thought you would have no doubt seeing Shaun has the ability to run flat out at a speed worthy of 97. Considering the linear system PRO EVO 5 employs, a value of 97 means we can also see considerable difference between say Shaun and Martins, so it is the perfect value for this stat.
Regarding Lennon. I will probably do him sometime, but the request list is already large.

There are two fantastic midfielder players both with different qualites in two huge teams. Here are the points to raise about them.
Athletisicm - (Key values: Stamina, Speed, Top speed, Acceleration, Jump, Mentality) First of all the two players stamina. Michael Essien has fantastic stamina, and has the ability to maintain very high levels of performance throughout the 90 minutes. Pirlo still has good stamina though with a value of 80. A value that has a careflu balance with stamina is mentality. Michael has a very high value of 87 for mentality as he makes the same kind of effort at the end of a match as he does in the beginning. On default, Pirlo had a value of 65 for mentality:laugh:. He doesn't have the same kind of performance in the latter stages of a match so a value of 75 is just right when combined with his stamina. Big difference between the pace of these two players aswell, as Michael is alot faster. This enables him to operate as more of a box to box midfielder, where as Pirlo is less mobile and is naturally an attacking midfielder, although is often deployed as a playmaking defensive midfielder. Finally Michael has a MUCH bigger leap. (A difference of 20 seperates the two players. From this we can see that Michael Essien is clearly the more athletic than Andrea Pirlo.
Positioning - (Key values: Attack, Defence, Aggression) Michael Essien really is a box to box midfielder. With a value of 77 for attack and 75 for defence, we can see he is pretty much inclined to defend just as much as attack. An aggression value of 77 also helps give him those extra pushes forward when he is not in posession of the ball and an attack is happening. In comparison we can see that Andrea Pirlo has an attack of 79 and defence of 67. This means he always has the tendency to push forward with the ball, but he still holds his defensive position when the opposite team are attacking. With an aggression stat of 64, he is sometimes less willing to move forward and help out in attack, but still moves up a fair bit most of the time to assist.
Passing - (Key values: Short pass accuracy, Short pass speed, Long pass accuracy, Long pass speed) Andrea Pirlo is definitely on of the top 5 passers in the world. He has simply excellent distribution around the pitch, and he has the ability to change a match with one perfectly weighted through ball. With 95 and 96 for short and long pass accuracy respectively, this mirrors his real life attributes fantastically. Also equipped with the playmaking and passing stars, his abilities in both the final third and deeper positions are enhanced by being able to pick out those 'perfect' passes. That said, Michael Essien is definitely not a bad passer of the ball. 80 and 78 for short and long pass accuracy show yet another area in which Michael Essien is very competent. Also equipped with the pasing star, this enhances his ability to deliver great balls in the final third of the pitch. Michael's passing is part of a well rounded game he has developed.
Shooting - (Key values: Shot accuracy, Shot power, Shot technique) Andrea is the more accurate of the two in regards to shooting. A value of 78 show his accuracy perfectly. Michael has a lower value of 70, and shooting is definitely an aspect of his game he could improve on. Both have high shot power, but Michael can pack a bit more of a punch and his value is 84. A good shot technique for both players, but you do notice that when under lots of pressure they struggle to get shots off as accurately as they would like to. This seems a good point to raise the point of Andrea Pirlo's potency from set pieces. He has developed into one of the best free kick takers around now, and this is represented by very high free kick accuracy of 91. His curling value is higher than some would expect, but it is 92 to accomodate for the great levels of dip he can achieve.
General Technique - (Dribble Accuracy, Technique, Weak foot accuracy, Weak foot frequency) Both players have got a good general technique, but Andrea Pirlo's is excellent. With dribble accuracy of 89 and a technique rating of 90, he has a simply fantastic first touch and he is extremely comfortable on the ball. Michael has a technique value of 81 so he will have very competent first touch, but his dribbling can sometimes be a little eratic hence a value of 74 for dribble accuracy. Both are comfortable using their weaker foot, and they use it quite a lot as they both have 7 for weak foot frequency. Andrea has better accuracy with his weak foot, and a 7 complemtents his extremely high passing ability.
So to round up, I think we can all see that both players have great assets on the football field. Essien is a box to box midfielder, and has all aspects of his game to a good standard. I think we can all agree that he is a 'complete player', but there is still room for improvement in some aspects of his game. As for Andrea Pirlo, I think we have just looked at one of the most talented play makers in the world. Incredibley good passing, and great accuracy and finesse on the ball, he is pivotal in the Milan side and can change a match instantly.

Would some one with the PC version of pro evo 5 be willing to post up headshots of the appearances? I cant do this, and I know its nice to see waht you put in the game before you actually do, so if anybody could do that I would appreciate it greatly, even if its for just Pirlo/Essien.

:huh: 8 hours?? Crickey man, your doing a helluva job to put that much work in, i can see it pays off though im just testing out the pirlo/essien stats now, and i have to say they are looking very true to real life. Keep up the good work!
