I was thinking they might play a 4-5-1 to accomodate the midfield, but I would doubt they would just use 1 up front after signing Bellamy and Kuyt. Not sure. The only think I can think of is if they carried on playing Gerrard on the right, but then they have to spare Pennant or Gonzalez. It will be interesting for sure.

ill tell you 1 thing playing bellamy upfront on his own wont work very well he like to drift out wide and is not great in the air so pennant wont get many assist with him upfront.for me id deffo have crouch upfront mening a 4-4-2 of sorts but bellamy can drift out wide meaning gerrard can become more centrl

Yep, for me 4-4-2 is the only way to go for me. They cant play Crouch up there on his own and leave Kuyt, Fowler, and Bellamy on the bench.

So if they play 4-4-2, the only question is who will they squeeze into that midfield. I can't see them leaving both Pennant and Gonzalez out, so that means either Sissoko or Alonso has to go.

not neccessary he can still play both sissoko and alonso and give gerrard a free role on the right(like the one he had 4 england) and play gonzalez on the left but rafa would only do this against the easier teams and one that dont play 4-5-1 themselves

Again true. Well whatever he does he has options now, which is one of the things they haven't really had recently. What with the return of Zenden as well I tihnk we can see the competition hooting up for a midfield place.

Matio, i feel that liverpool would be exposed if gerrard was on the right when they are not playing well, like against sheffield when gerrard (who wasn't involved much in the game) will go looking for the ball and leave his full back exposed with no cover.

gerrard played on the right for most of last season and we played well.
i can see us playing
gerrard----sissoko----alonso---gonzalez

-----------bellamy---kuyt-------------

there will be alot of rotating though to keep players fit

btw sissoko started off his career as a striker and while him and benitez were at valencia benitez turned him into a cm like he turned carragher into a cb from fb.

I thought del still does stats over at evo-web?

Carragher was a striker when he was a kid aswell.

So was Sol Campbell. It kinda shows from headers, he likes to attack the ball well (please no jokes).

To be honest guys, the reason that I dont have my own thread over at PESfan is mainly because I dont have the time to. I put so much time into this thread at the moment, and if I were to start over at pesfan aswell then it would just get completely out of control.

There is another reason aswell. I find the viewers over here generally a bit more understanding to be fair. Obviously a lot of you are over at pesfan and are just the same as you are here:), but they have so many people over there who just request, request, request, I would get driven to distraction.

It is not as if this hasnt occured to me before, I have thought about it. I suppose over here there is a group that is admittedly smaller than pesfan.com, but I find it a much better editing environment, and the people are generally a lot more understanding.

I do check there quite a bit, and have gave a hand in Chris's thread when I can. I will pop in every so often and offer my thoughts, and maybe even a few updates, but I am not starting my own thread over there.

Oh and HTF, you and chris are the only two good stat editors over there you know. I was looking at that menezes thread a while back. Crouch; 91 jump:laugh:

I think it would turn out to be hard work for bagrunnel to juggul 2 threads, never mind them being stat editing, each at different sites.
I reckon Liverpool could use 4-5-1, but it leaves them exposed at the front. They have all sorts of options up front, crouch being height, pace with bellamy etc so they will find it hard to fit them all in! 4-4-2 will be their only option in terms of keeping a balance up front, as crouch doesn't have much pace but happens to be a handful for defenders with his height advantage. Hard to pick the side, thats for sure!
Any work on a new player tomorrow? Sissoko would be convienient, and i certainly wouldn't mind him.

Yes I think a player tomorrow is in order. Sissoko seems fine to me.

One thing though guys. I really am focusing all my efforts on the file now. I have got the all Chelsea done, the majority of Arsenal and Liverpool and other players scattered around. I doubt I will be doing the usual extensive analysis. So I would really love it if you guys could get involved in the player, and carrying the thread along so I can really focus on getting a few more players done.

I just watched a com game Liverpool vs Arsenal. All players edited bar Reina. Man it was good! Gerrard belting all over the place, Risse and absolute handful and Alonso was distributing excellent. Arsenal were just how I wanted them to be. Short sharp direct passing. Eboue and Cole up and down the flanks all game, and Henry made mince meat of Hyypia. So good guys!:D

Lucky! I'm looking forward to the option file, and by the sounds of things it sounds amazingly realistic!
Looking ahead, will Sissoko be quite quick to put up tomorrow, as you've done him on the option file already and just a case of posting up the stats you have? Im spending less and less time on the computer nowadays, due to the fact of being busy for most days!
I can put up some definitions of what each stat/star does if it helps, but i'll be putting them up at my own time. Saves people asking which stat does what, and definitions would come from the official book. shall i? its your thread, and i wouldn't want to help out without your permission.
