Does anyone know how I can keep a player who has put his contract renewal on hold, it doesn't seem to let you make them a better offer.

Really frustrating!

I think it is because the scout is the one handling your negotiations, it happened to me with Ngoyi, but I managed to kip him only because I managed to promote to D1 league and because I had a better scout. So try to improve your position in the world rankings and have a better scout.

I'm stuffed then, already in top league and have a level 2 scout, looks like my priority is to upgrade him at the end of the season then.

At the end of the season you will get another chance to negotiate his contract (unless he signs for another club!)

This scout nonsense seems shite. What's the point? We've all become used to handling our negotiations over the years, leave it to us!

I PLAY AS MAN CITY AND THEY FORCEFULLY TOOK Lescot from me...him and Toure were doing awsome as my cb's i had only allowed 4 games throughout like 20 league games and they took him...and the scouts su*ck because they dont really scout and let u know if the player wants to come to ur team or not they just make deals although i get to finalize every deal...

i really dont understand the point of these scouts, why cant we negotiate our own deals... nearly everytime you offer a player a little less than he wants they stall negotiations till the end of the season at which point you are forced to accept any deal he wants from fear that you might lose the player... and what happened to trading players?

Hi Friends
from my experience never keep a player for transfer negotiations if u want to keep him because he will have broken heart and regret to sign for u again
