on the ps3 version of the game is anyone else having a problem with picking the ball up with a player and not being able to pass, shoot or release the ball in any way?

this odd occurance also seems to happen when trying to use the "player chase the ball" feature they just stop...i was just hoping im not the only person this is happening to.

Hmm... interesting. I've been playing PES on PC since PES 3, and PES 2008 is the only game in which I've NOT had the problem of the player 'locked' in a run, without you being able to change direction, pass or shoot in any way. So yeah, it was a common issue for me in PES 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Now about the other thing, that's the game's fault. PES 2008, when compared to previous titles, has a very buggy first touch and reaction to movement. When you press, say, right, your player seems to move a few centimeters to the left before complying. The same goes for every direction. Sometimes, when you use super cancel or even when you receive a through ball WITHOUT releasing R1, the player stops in his tracks before resuming the run. Also, a lot of times the player outruns the ball and it just bounces off his heels backwards, which is one of the bluntest displays of stupidity I've seen in a game. OK, that did happen in previous versions, but it's so much more usual in PES 2008...

Nothing that'll jeopardize the infinite victories you get against the AI, of course, but it pisses me off all the same.

pacman thanks for the reply i really appreciate it its weird as i've never had these problems before so i was worried it was my ps3, or at least the controllers so happy im not going crazy...hope they can fix that cause to be honest tht aside its a great game post patch
