Whats the best attributes to make a player great at control? Xabi Alonso is amazing in real life for controlling it, but ive put his passing an stuff high but hes crap at controlling it, any ideas you lot of clever people :)

okie thanks mate, so if i put his technique at about 89/90 he'll be good at stopping the ball. cheers fella

How about attributing 99 of everything and then surely his ball control will be great. I'm only messing with ya.
Like the other guy said Technique and maybe response are the key for good ball control.

Timing.

If you want your player to turn right after receiving the ball, don't hold right --> before receiving the ball and wait. This will make the ball bounce once or twice. Keep your finger on the button and time it when the ball touches your players feet. It's as easy as pushing the peddal in Mario Kart when the light hits green and your kart ignites the turbo charge. Make a habit of it.

use L1, R1 OR R2 to determine how well u control. As the others have said, technique helps. but use those buttons to further help the control. L1 will control closely, R1 sometimes helps knock the ball far out from your feet. and R2 is like this to a certain extent. give it a go and let us know how it goes :) (Must hold down the button as your player receives the ball and u can use a direction if u want)
